Funny yet compassionate, he makes me laugh on every visit no matter how I'm feeling. Professional, he has excellent bedside manners. I always feel comfortable during & after our visits. He has a special way of making any anxiety I may be feeling disappear. He takes time to listen, makes me feel like I am the only patient on the floor; I have his undivided attention; able to ask many questions without feeling rushed. I truly believe Dr. Crater really loves what he does as an Orthopedic Specialist which shows through his compassion for his patient's well being. He sees me as a whole person rather than just a diagnosis with consideration of other relevant factors including my mental health, emotional status and other concerns I may have; a holistic approach. I think he is a wonderful person to have in my life.

July 30, 2024 Dr. Crater repaired my completely detached left distal biceps tendon. Dr. Carter is extremely professional and he really took his time explaining; my injury, his surgical procedure, recovery expectations and answered all of my questions. After four months of intense therapy I was cleared to return to work with no limitations or restrictions. I am more than satisfied with Dr. Crater and his job done very well! Had meniscus repair done on left knee by another doctor. Went to Dr Crater for my right knee after not being satisfied with the previous doctor. What a difference! Dr Crater patiently explained all my options, showed me my previous MRI results and was sympathetic to my pain. Surgery was scheduled quickly and I could not be happier! Again, he fully explained what he did by showing me all the photos of the inside of my knee. Excellent care, understanding of a patient's pain and goals for healing. I would recommend him to anyone needing any type of orthopedic care. THANK YOU!!

In mid summer 2024, I saw Dr. Crater for a torn meniscus. He took time to explain all my options. He was informative, compassionate, and professional. I did not feel 'rushed' into surgery but when I did opt for surgery, I went in with high confidence in Dr. Crater's ability. I was very pleased with the post operation office visits and feel that the surgery was a success. Dr. Crater met and exceeded my expectations.

Dr. Crater replaced my left knee this past February, 2024. It is now May and I have 'NO' pain. Before the surgery, I was confined to home and in constant pain. He was so caring and informative. I've had no complications or side effects. I walk with my wife every day. I recommend Dr. Crater to anyone seeking a 5-star, competent, and compassionate surgeon.

Dr. Crater smiled when he greeted me and came into the room. There was no sitting and waiting for my appointment to start. He asked me questions about my knee, then examined my knee making comparisons between both knees. He discussed the results of the Ultra Sound. He turned his computer so I could see what he was describing. He would talk in simple terms so I could understand what he was showing me. I never felt rushed at any time during my appointment. Dr. Crater was thorough in his explanation to help me through any pain I might have. He suggested I continue with my Pilates exercises and to keep my weight where it is currently. Meeting you was an amazing experience. My grandson was correct when he told me you were and awesome physician.

I was referred to Dr. Crater for knee pain. After 3 years of premium care it was decided it was time for replacement surgery. I couldn't be happier. The outcome was far better than expected. Dr. Crater and his back office have outstanding patient skills. Four weeks post surgery and I was off the walker and eight weeks without a cane. Dr Crater is always answers my questions and is positive with his support for my recovery.

Dr. Crater was excellent in all aspects. He develops a great relationship with the patients. The surgery went extremely bad. I had a completely separated quadriceps tendon and in just 4 months I was able to run again. Many thanks!!!!

Dr Crater performed my knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago and I could not be more pleased and grateful with the results and my experience with both him and his staff . It was a difficult surgery but Dr Crater’s expertise and experience has produced a very successful outcome . In addition, his willingness to spend the time and provide detailed explanations helped me feel confident; his kind and reassuring manner is much appreciated Also, His robotic assist technique was a game changer over my other knee surgery . I can’t say enough about Dr. Crater and his nurse Abby . From the moment I got in the waiting room there were 5 people asking what Dr I was seeing and once I mentioned Dr.Crater, they all said I was in great hands with him and boy were they right! He was so kind and really explained what was going on with my broken ankle and really put me at ease (I even laughed thru out the visit which I had not done in days since I had the accident) . Dr. Crater took time to listen and answer all my questions and really cared about what I was going thru. In all my 53 years, I can honestly say I have never came across a Doctor like Dr.Crater. I pray I never break another bone but , if I do, I will definitely be making that appt. With Dr. Crater. He deserves 10 stars!

I had a n injury from a fall that required surgery. Dr. Crater did an awesome job and I am back to normal mobility.

I was very apprehensive prior to seeing the doctor. I prepared myself to go to Orange County to see a good doctor. Shockingly I think Dr Crater is a very good doctor and would trust him. Going forward if o need an orthopedic doctor Ron will be my man.

Dr Crater was thoughtful and thorough in explanations and review of my medical challenges. He reviewed my chart prior to stepping into the examination room, discussed my challenges as well as possible options... and asked questions that provoked my evaluation of my personal commitments in determining the level of my partnership in managing my health!! It was a new experience - and generated trust and showed he cares about his patients. The staff was friendly, and the environment mellow and comforting.

I had a hip replacement last year with my surgeon Dr. Ronald Crater, MD. He was so supportive and put my worries at ease considering it being a serious surgery. The robotic arm was used during surgery which greatly cut down the recuperation time. I highly recommend Dr. Crater!

Tore ACL and minor meniscus tear from playing hockey. Dr Crater explained my options and his recommendations. I opted for cadaver ACL. So happy to be fixed 6weeks out and all is great and healing/recovering as expected. I love Dr Crater, he's the BEST!! He has the best intentions for his patients.

I went into the hospital as an emergency patient with a broken hip. Dr. Crater contacted me to tell me that I needed surgery within a window of time, and he was going to fit me in his schedule that day. Bless him! The surgery was very successful, and I am well on my way to be fully recovered. I am having regular X-rays and checkups with Dr. Crater. I always have a multitude of questions, and he will take time to answer them thoroughly. His demeanor is personable, caring, and patient. As my situation was an emergency, I feel that I was lucky to have Dr. Crater as my doctor. I have zero complaints and would recommend him to others. 5 stars!

Dr. Crater takes the time to find the root of your issues & come up with a plan to correct them.

Great Doctor. Listens and certainly has best bedside manners. His staff responses fast. I have had a much easier time with surgery and recovery and paperwork because of their timely response. Cant go wrong here.

I have had the pleasure of having been seen and treated by Dr. Crater twice. (Both appointments were for Cortisone injections in my knee.) Dr. Crater is an awesome doctor, and an extremely kind and personable gentleman. He is funny, warm, caring, and just an absolute joy to know. Aside from his welcoming personality, Dr. Crater is phenomenal at what he does. He is both professional and highly knowledgeable in his practice. I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing doctor to any/all in need of medical care.
