Terrible bedside manner.
First time seeing this doctor today. He is not my regular doctor, thank god. I’m 23 weeks pregnant. I never wanted to see a male doctor for my pregnancy but he was all that was available for my appointment time. He really made it clear why I don’t want a male doctor for a female condition. He told me I had gained weight, which yeah, I know buddy. But then told me to lay off the cookies. I am a very healthy eater and don’t eat sugar other than fruit and avoid fatty foods and carbs. I am also clearly holding a lot of water made clear by my giant ankles. Then he told me to be more active and that I shouldn’t change anything that I did from before being pregnant. I workout everyday, which he would have known if he had asked. I also know that there are many things I can’t do now that I did before being pregnant (certain yoga poses and weight exercises that put too much pressure on the core muscles that are now stretched) He then said I could do anything except go surfing…never surfed in my
