Dr. Watkins Jr.
I recently had a two level fusion at L4, L5 and S1 from Dr. Watkins Jr. I am a 30 year firefighter in the Los Angeles area, I live a very active lifestyle, both at work and at home. I was very hesitant to have a fusion due to the possibility of limiting my lifestyle. After consulting with Dr. Watkins and his amazing assistant, Shawn Bond, I had them perform the surgery. It was a complete success! Incredible professional staff. I never complain about the wait to see him because he and his staff are the best. Thank you for getting me back a healthy and pain free life. Now the hard work of maintenance is on me.

Dr. Watkins appointment
Dr. Watkins was very personable and explained to me what my complications involved. He scheduled me with nuclear medicine, whereby they gave me a full body scan, blood work, CT Scan and more. This showed exactly where my disc issues were. I visited two other doctors prior to Dr. Watkins and they NEVER did what Dr. Watkins did..!!

DR Watkins JR best in class
I had L4-L5 fusion and disc replacement. I feel great and it’s been four months now. I shot 83 yesterday at my favorite golf course and feeling great. I would recommend DR Watkins and understand why professional athletes seek him out.

Neck surgery
Dr. Watkins is the best! He is knowledgeable, friendly and explains everything throughly. Would not trust anyone else. His staff in office as well as hospital are the best! If you have to go through neck surgery, choose him!

I visited Dr. Watkins for a “second” opinion he diagnosed me with an issue in my neck that was not picked up by the first doctor. If not for Dr. Watkins, there is a possibility that if I had gone ahead with my lower back surgery before addressing the neck issue, I could have suffered catastrophic consequences, such as becoming a quadriplegic. After my neck and then lower back surgeries, Dr. Watkins is the reason why I am able to walk and be productive in my business and active with my family. There is NO one else that I would EVER trust to perform spine surgery on me, any of my family members or close friends other than Dr. Watkins...wait minute...there is one other person...his father! Thank You Dr. Watkins and God Bless!

Several doctors diagnosed a variety of issues with my neck pain but their treatment options were varied, temporary and did not seem to focus on my issue and a long term solution. I learned of Dr. Watkins, and his reputation, and within 2 weeks I made my first visit. His knowledge, confidence and concern for my issue was just what I needed to move forward with disc replacement/fusion surgery. Eight weeks later, I feel great and cannot thank Dr. Watkins and his staff enough.

In spite of the high demand for Dr. Watkins Jr, I was able to get an appointment within two weeks. My initial appointment was actually with Dr. Watkins, and not his staff P.A., and he was very personable, thorough, and direct about necessary treatment. Going into surgery, I was very confident in Dr. Watkins' ability and desire for a flawless outcome and recovery. All went extremely well and all neurological symptoms have been alleviated. I would highly recommend Dr. Watkins to anyone.
