I was refered to Dr. Tahara by my PCP after a diagnosis of Edema. More on that later. My PCP told me he was good in his field but he was an "buthole". I can agree with the second part of that. His staff is OK except for his "sock salesperson" who shares his personality. Neither my PCP nor Tahara had anything to say about the fact that I was put on Amlodipine as a blood pressure med. Edema is a common side effect. Both ignored that. after 3 visits and Tahara's insistance that I purchace $340 worth of compression socks that only HE recomended and no other raised the second red flag for me. My first set of socks were a disappointment. None fit the same. His sock "salesperson" wanted to explain it away by instructing me on how to put them on, while trying to sell me my second set after only 3 months. Never mind the fact that none FIT THE SAME as another. She coped an additude with me, and that ended the relationship with that office.

He has little man syndrome! Tries to make you think he’s tough by swearing all the time and bragging about all the time he spends in the woods shooting his guns and hunting. He does not respect patients’ privacy, time, intelligence or feelings. He constantly badmouths other doctors and hospitals. He thinks he’s the greatest and wastes your time telling you so! He wouldn’t see me when I was having pain in my legs and required immediate treatment. Apparently he couldn’t cut the mustard in any other medical field so now spends his time telling you how to wear compression socks. A complete jerk. Find a better doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Tahara’s for about 13 years. He performed the venous closure procedure on my legs. I have nothing but praise for him and his staff. Dr. Tahara is extremely knowledgeable, personable and immediately addressed my problem. I continue to be monitored by him and religiously wear my compression stockings. His staff are always very professional and helpful each and every time I am in the office. Dr. Tahara and his staff definitely deserve five stars!

I have been a patient of Dr. Robert Tahara for 5 years. He has corrected issues with the veins in my legs, and recently diagnosed May - Thurner syndrome. He placed a stent which corrected it with incredible improvements in my legs the following day. Dr. Tahara and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. They instill a level of confidence that is very comforting when having a procedure performed at their facility.

Dr. Tahara takes the time to listen to his patients, runs needed testing and goes over those tests and tells you what he thinks would be your best treatment. He knows who you are when he comes into the room. Having been to other locations before, I was very happy with what he proposed for my treatment and it was far less evasive then other locations (major hospitals). Less down time and better results. He is a straight shooter with you. The team concept there works well.

Very Impressed. He was thorough in his initial examination and follow-up ultrasound of my veins. Also willing to explain in detail his findings and answer all the questions I had.
