Best OB
When searching for an OB for my first pregnancy, I knew I wanted to deliver at Morristown and Dr. Steer was on the original team my mom used for when my sister and I were born. So it was an easy choice for me to go with Dr. Steer. Donna was so instrumental in all her help whenever I needed someone’s opinion and she is such a great asset to the office. When it came to my delivery, we had a couple of hiccups and complications with the hospital and Dr. Steer was a MAJOR advocate for my husband and I in making sure that we were okay and that our care didn’t go unnoticed. If it wasn’t for him going to bat for us it would have probably not been the enjoyable birth experience for me that it ended up being. I can’t thank Dr Steer enough for delivering our beautiful daughter and for everything in between.

Dr. Steer’s practice was so wonderful from the very beginning of my pregnancy through delivery. He is so knowledgeable and answered our questions thoroughly at each step, and had a very calming demeanor. I gave birth via scheduled C-Section, and the entire experience could not have been better. I felt I was in great hands the entire time, and my recovery has been exceptional. I am on day 4 at home and can move around so easily already. Donna is also so wonderful and knowledgeable, and a pleasure when at the office.

Best OB you could ask for!
Dr.Steer is the best OB you could ask for, he is clearly an expert in his field and I had complete trust in him. As a first time mom he kept me calm through the whole process and was so excited to meet my son. He really is the best doctor you could have in your corner and donna is also amazing. How practices should be.

Best OB in Morris county
Saw Dr. Steer when I switched to an MD who participated with Morristown medical center . He was recommended to me by a friend. This was my second child. First was delivered by another great doctor but I must say this delivery was amazing as well as post op healing. Healed in half the time then with the previous doctor after two c sections. Truly the best and an expert

Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Steer delivered my baby and was amazing. He came in to check on me every day in the hospital and made sure I was doing well. He has been doing this for years, so he is truly and expert. I had a C section, and I have recovered SO quickly! Even the other doctors on staff that day commented how amazing of a surgeon he was and how great of a job he did. Throughout the entire pregnancy experience, he was able to answer all my questions and keep me relaxed. I also love that his office is small; you feel like family every time you come in. Donna is also amazing, so shout out to her! I feel very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Steer from a friend and referred another friend to him, as well!

The best!
Dr. Steer was the best choice to deliver my baby boy. His practice feels so incredibly personal and he guided us with such kindness every step of the way. My pregnancy and birth experiences were really wonderful and I attribute this to working with him. Thank you Dr. Steer!

I trust Dr. Steer immensely and would highly recommend him. He makes you feel like you’re his only patient and he is focused on you with the highest attention to detail. His staff is amazing and you know you’re in the best hands the second you walk through the door. It’s his incredible wealth of knowledge, skill, patience and comforting personality that sets him apart and I wouldn’t trust any other life experience without him.

Choosing Dr. Steer as my OB was the best decision I made for my pregnancy. I truly enjoyed my prenatal journey and the birth of my son more than I ever imagined I could. In his care I felt supported, safe and informed. As a first time mom, I had so many questions at each visit that he gladly took the time to answer for me. Donna at the office was fantastic and always available when needed. My prenatal visits were all great but where Dr. Steer really shines is at your delivery. I had the most beautiful birth recently and for someone who was terrified of delivery - Dr. Steer made it the best night of my life. I would recommend him a million times if I could. Incredible doctor with a wonderful bedside manner.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Steer for over 13 years. He delivered two of my children. But now that I am no longer having any more babies I was phoned by Sandra a week before my annual exam informing me that I am no longer welcomed at his practice. She said at first it was because of Covid, which was not an issue when I booked the exam in November and I asked if I would be welcomed back after Covid and she said no. So I’m no longer a $ making patient so they are done with me. Got it! Referred me to another doctor whose reviews are mixed, at best online. I found someone else but can’t get in until late June when my annual exam should have been in February. Now I have to wait 4 additional months. Thank you Dr. Steer for displaying such care for your loyal and long-term patients. He is all about the $ so ask yourself if that is the kind of doctor you want.

Unless you are pregnant, do not go to this man. He's only interested in pregnancy-related care - he's into the money, not actual doctoring. That's when he turns on the charm and professionalism. I just moved to NJ and developed symptoms, and needed an obgyn. He dismissed my concern and my symptoms (pre-menopausal, heavy, heavy bleeding & clots for more than a month, no miscarriage, no history of fibroids or polyps - very unusual for me). I was shocked how quickly I was able to get an appointment - that alone should've been a warning sign. He was brief, curt, and dismissive. He didn't even do a pelvic exam or order any radiology. I was told to wait and come back in a few weeks if I still had symptoms (and I did). My second appointment was cancelled 2 hours before the appointment time because of other patients in labour. Angry & terrified, I decided to travel back to my original obgyn in another state and be seen there - and am awaiting biopsy results.

Dr. Steer is an AMAZING doctor! I had a high risk pregnancy due to a blood clot in my left leg and he made me feel right at ease & reassured me time and time again he will take care of me and my babygirl. Well, I had an amazing L&D. He is so professional and has amazing bedside manner. Compassionate & very knowledgable. My husband shook his hand so many time after we delivered our baby thanking him for all he had done. We love Dr. Steer & his nurse Sandra! She is excellent! With both of them I never felt like just another patient. Always felt welcome and happy to be seen! Highly recommend!

Dr. Steer delivered our first just a few months ago. We have recommended him to several friends since (both of whom have loved him!) because we liked him so much :D His office is cozy and comfortable not stuffy and clinical. Sandra is fantastic, and Dr. Steer puts you at ease and takes fantastic care of you. He is efficient but come with your questions and he’ll work through all of them with you and make sure you are comfortable with the answers.

I am a healthcare professional and I cannot recommend Dr. Steer at all. He couldn’t clearly explain things and would end up yelling at us when we wanted clarification. He contradicted himself when it came to getting certain screenings which indicated a lack of understanding how the test works. He treats his staff horribly and yells at them in front of patients. We ended up switching late during the pregnancy and we were much happier. A doctor should make patients feel welcome and comfortable not yell at them, add stress and make us question his decision making.

Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Steer. He has excellent bedside manner, listens closely to the wishes of the patient, and ends every appointment by warmly and genuinely asking, “What else can I do to help you?” which is such a comfort. After delivering hundreds of babies, you would think someone would develop a lackluster approach, but this is certainly not the case. Dr. Steer expressed enthusiasm every time we saw my little baby on the monitor screen. He made my first pregnancy so special. The receptionist Sandra is a delight. I truly enjoyed the intimacy of working with one receptionist and one doctor. The office is cheery and Sandra is always welcoming, organized, and professional. I trusted Dr. Steer with my life and the life of my baby. I look forward to trusting him again with my next child.

Dr Steer is great. I was looking for a dr that would be supportive of my desire for an unmedicated birth experience. Dr Steer was very supportive and would always take the time to answer my questions and discuss my options. I had multiple challenges throughout my pregnancy and Dr Steer helped guide me through them safely without having to sacrifice the birth I hoped for. I am very fortunate to have found Dr Steer. I also had a wonderful experience with his office manager Sandra. She is caring and gives you undevided attention. She takes the stress out of managing appointments and tests. I was at a lab recently and even they were surprised at her prompt attention and extensive knowledge.

Dr. Steer provided the highest quality of health care and guidance to me and my husband as we navigated through our first pregnancy and the birth of our beautiful baby boy. He was always there to answer any questions that we had along the journey, and has a kind, pragmatic approach with his patients. His front-of-the-house colleague Sandra is just terrific; she also took great care of us! We will definitely be working with Dr. Steer and Sandra when it comes time for Baby #2 :-)

Dr Steer is a talented and wonderful doctor who you can tell takes great pride and joy in his job. Dr Steer took care of me during my pregnancy. I have an autoimmune issue and knew I needed a doctor who would listen, care and had lots of experience. There is a tremendous advantage in having just one doctor and one office manager. When phoning the office Sandra knows who you are, what week of pregnancy you are and what’s going on with you. There was never a need to rattle off my medical history.

He delivered my first child, no problems there. He doesn’t have medically trained staff supporting him, which is antiquated. His office manager, Sandra, is the only other employee in the office. I have only ever seen Dr.Steer for annuals or pregnancy related visits AND the one time I requested an appointment multiple times for a medical concern, Sandra did not comply. Turns out I have a cyst (ordered via my PCP). Sandra told me “it’s likely not a cyst” I’ve been doing this over 20 years hon

I have been going to Dr.Steer for years now and am overall dissatisfied with the service. It's difficult to schedule appointments, especially if you work full time and I had a few medical issues that they couldn't figure out so they gave up on. They have made multiple mistakes with my medication as well and are not particularly responsive.
