Dr. Joann Somers, MD

I will always wait for Dr Somers. She is kind, compassionate and an excellent doctor.

I have been her patient for many years and continue to travel over an hour to see her twice a year. Wait times can be long but she takes time to talk with her patients , not down to them. The staff couldn't be nicer. They have all been with the doctor for many years.

Dr. Somers is an excellent diagnostician. Her medical knowledge far supersedes her area of expertise. Her advice and counsel are spot on. And, she shows empathy and compassion. Yes, there might be a long in- office wait time because of her varied responsibilities as an OBGYN. Dr. Somers cares about and listens attentively to all her patients. Her office staff is friendly and accommodating. She has been my Dr. for 21 years

She used to be good but after many yrs of seeing her I finally switched. Doesn’t know her patients anymore, was playing w her phone while talking to me. Found her unsympathetic to my symptoms. Wait times in office can be 2 hrs and wait times to get appt is months out. Love my new doc and am never going back to Somers.

Excellent and caring doctor. The staff is wonderful as well. Wait times can be a bit long but she is very thorough and takes her time with her patients.

I've heard Dr. Somers is a good doctor but I will never know. It takes a very long time to get an appointment. I was bumped after waiting an hour because of an emergency. I was able to reschedule for a month later but was called 2 hours before my appointment because the doctor was not in! I should have been told no when I asked if she was taking new patients. I would have understood. I've wasted months of time and still am not any closer to seeing a doctor. Please just be honest and let new patients know that you're overextended. No stars.

Very efficient

Dr. Somers is extremely knowledgable and thorough. She has many many years of experience, yet she still keeps up to date with recent data in the OBGYN realm. Highly reccomend for pregnancy or regular gyno visits. Her expertise is well worth the wait as she runs her practice alone and cares for each patient individually.

There is just no one like her...I love her! Dr Somers is brilliant and thorough. She CARES about her patients. She is not an alarmist yet she's on top of it all. I trust her with my life. I've been a patient for over 20 years and I'm praying she NEVER retires. I've had several issues over the years and she has always taken good care of me. Her staff is incredible...Adrienne and Allison are my fav people! When I call they are always so kind and never make me feel like my concerns are small. ??
