Dr. Smith did double knee replacement on me. I am 3.5 months out from my second one. I am now waking 3 miles three times a week. I could not do simple daily tasks before. So happy and pain free. I can’t thank him enough. He gave me my life back. :) He is truly a wonderful surgeon. So happy I found him.

Recently, after suffering an injury to my left knee, which required surgery, I was referred to Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic. There I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Robert Smith. This was my first visit to the clinic, and from beginning to end, the treatment I received was exceptional! All pre-op tests were scheduled promptly, as was my surgery. From check-in, to examination by Dr. Smith, to check-out, I never waited more than 10 minutes. But first and foremost, I would like to emphasize that Dr. Smith is an exceedingly personable, conscientious, skilled physician and surgeon. At each visit, he took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed. I was completely recovered just two weeks after my knee surgery, and had no complications whatsoever. I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his staff to anyone seeking EXCEPTIONAL health care!!

Torn right rotator cuff (right) surgery in Nov 2018. Just got my 6-month green light. Super crew of people on this team and Dr Smith and all are most deserving of commendation. 5 stars

I spent 8 painful months limping on a knee with a torn meniscus because Robert Smith insisted my only problem was arthritis after I told him something had happened on a specific day and it had hurt consistently ever since. He insisted on one expensive treatment after another when I kept asking for an MRI. Finally, 8 months later, the MRI showed a torn meniscus. Dr. Smith doesn't listen and only seems to care about how much money he can get from you. Terrible, terrible doctor in my opinion.

Dr. Smith performed a patellofemoral ligament reconstruction on one of my knees. He made me feel at ease about the procedure both during the pre-op appointment and on the day of surgery. When there was an insurance technicality issue prior to the surgery, he called me personally to resolve it. I've been very pleased with the results. He did a great job on the incisions, and my scarring is minimal compared to what I anticipated. I highly recommend Dr. Smith for orthopedic care.
