Excellent eye surgeon who really knows his talents. Nice, to the point, but gets your vision back with caring. I had to have cataracts removed on both my eyes. Other issues were involved like severe stigmatism in both eyes. I had worn contacts off and on with my glasses for years. The shape of my eyes had changed and he knew we needed to wait without wearing contacts for a few months to proceed. I admit I was nervous and scared, but he was there for me completely. Not many surgeons are. He also asked if I wanted to wear glasses or have special toric lens put in that I would finally be free of wearing glasses. Very knowledgeable on what eye vision care can be for someone today. I agreed and have no regrets at all. He did my surgery in 2015 and my vision today is still 20/20. I haven’t seen this well since childhood. I can see far away and close up and have no problems. If you want excellence with your vision Dr Guss is the doctor to go to whatever your problems are with your eyes.

Arrogant, argumentative, condescending to a fault. I was going to say poor bedside manner, but that is not clear enough. He has NO bedside manner. He is insulting and looks down on patients as inferiors. Something happened to this man, he could not have acted this way in training Years ago.

I have bi-lateral keratoconus with severe dry eye coupled with astigmatism. Dr. Guss has many years of experience than the V.A. physicians so I really over super comfortable with his recommendations; he's the surgeon! He explains everything, unlike the V.A. doctors. Every 6 months, the V.A. would insert tear duct plugs only to have the fall out hence, severe burning dry eye. Dr. Guss inserted the largest #9 plugs and with the next appointment, we shall see what he wishes to do.

I have had both eyes worked on and cataracts removed by Dr. Guss. This last time I had my left eye done. A span of 6 1/2 years between the right eye. This time he recommended a new laser proceedure before. I took it. He told me he would be with me every step of the way. And he was. He is a good man, a great doctor and cares for his patients. I would and have already recommended him to friends.
