He saved my mother in laws life.
Dr. Cusick was confident and very knowledgeable. He saved my mother in laws life. A wound we were told would take 6 months to heal from a different doctor he was able to fix within 10 days. I was absolutely amazed at his professionalism and skill.

Routine Hip replacement
My hip surgery went ok aside from the very significant staph infection that I developed at the incision site about 15 days post-op. This had to of been introduced during my surgical procedure. Dr Cusick or Carle failed to maintain a sterile field during my procedure. He performed a second surgery 1 month after the first procedure and the staph infection showed up again several months later. I went to an excellent orthopedic group in Chicago who performed two more surgeries to get me back where I should have been after the first one. In total I lost over 18 months of my life due to the infection introduced to me during the original procedure.

Dr. Cusick was great explaining procedure and communication. However, follow up and communication has been very very difficult. Monday 11/15 We have spoke to Ann and she advised us Donald the PA would be handling questions, medication and issues. There has been virtually no response after asking for a direct phone call to the patient!!! & multiple phone calls. Tuesday 11/16/21 again multiple calls by myself and the patient re: medication needed. Ann assured Donald would be calling in medication as he was in surgery today. . 6:30Pm called answering service and was told they don’t handle medication calls! Walgreens has no records of medication called in. Walgreens are willing to take a verbal over the phone or email from the Dr or PA!!! Praying my husband can get the needed medication tonight before Walgreens closes!!!!

Dr Cusick did my THREE total knee replacements. The right knee was done twice and left knee once. Every day when I get out of bed and step on the floor he is the first person I think of. Why? Because of pain my both knees. Later x-rays taken by a different doctor show neither knee is aligned. Recommending Dr Cusick is not something I will ever do. Beware. At the time I was seeing him, his staff was not helpful. The last time I was in his office after the THIRD knee replacement, there were 3 other patients in the waiting room having difficulties from their procedures.

I am a diabetic, overweight, 53-year-old woman with bone-on-bone knees. Dr. C. performed a total left knee replacement in July of 2018 with no complications or issues. His PA, the office staff, and all associated with his clinic are efficient, professional, and focused. He is a talented surgeon who is humble and kind. I have no fear of having my right knee done by him when it is time

It was worth the 2 months that it took for me to get in to see him for my knee pain. These are the things that impressed me most: After reviewing my xrays, he informed me of my options and was very specific about what I needed to do prior to surgery and what he would then to do help me. On my second visit, after the decision was made for surgery, everything was very organized and my surgery was scheduled within 1 1/2 weeks. Now pain free and doing things I haven't done in years.
