I broke my elbow and two bones in my arm 20 days ago. A week later, Dr. Maender performed surgery with exceptional skill. Today, the cast was removed, and I’m thrilled to say my bones have healed beautifully. I owe it all to his expertise and care. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him when I needed it most. His entire staff is outstanding: compassionate, punctual, and thorough in their explanations. I couldn't have asked for better care!

Dr. Maender has been treating me for approximately 3 years. He and his staff are fantastic. They all make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The first time that i went to see him, he gave me the feeling that he was very good and that i could trust him. The trust continue to increase each time i went to his office. Now after 3 years and one joint replacement surgery, i would never let anyone else perform surgery on anything from my shoulder to my fingertips except him. He has a ton of knowledge and the skills to support it. We are so lucky to have such a great surgeon here in Springfield that can fix so many people and change so many lives. He is very thorough when treating his patients. Explains everything to you including any xrays results. Very knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to have him perform surgery that he deems necessary.

Dr. Maender is a highly skilled and exemplary surgeon. He takes the time to listen and explain what needs to be done and answers any questions. He has a calm and friendly personality which made me feel comfortable with having carpal tunnel surgery. His staff is friendly and easily accessible for questions.

Dr Maender completed a surgery on my left shoulder and will now complete one on my right shoulder. I would highly recommend this doctor. The good doctor and surgery have made all the difference.

Dr. Maender and all the staff were very friendly, my wait time was minimal. The doctor went over everything with me, took his time, answered all of my questions, explained all of my options. I've been seeing Orthopedists for decades and I am exceptionally happy with this choice. He is doing everything to keep me from surgery for as long as possible, even though I know ultimately that is where I will end up. I am so happy to not be pressured. I would recommend him all day, every day. So happy I drove the hour and a half to see him.

I got in quick for a steroid shot in my shoulder. Dr. Maender explained future options for long term treatment. He has a very friendly “bedside” manner.

I was in a great deal of pain. I know that I need surgery on my hand, but I really want to wait until summer when I am not in school. It was nice to have someone who understood the pain and was able to give me an injection to help alleviate the pain until I can have surgery. He explains what he is doing as he goes along; he listens closely, and seems to understand what you are experiencing. He makes recommendations, but leaves the decisions in your hands rather than insisting that you choose his course of treatment. Some doctors seem to forget that in the Patient Rights, we have the right to refuse a course of treatment and choose an alternative. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Maender is pleasant and very knowledgeable. He listens carefully, answers questions, and gives options for treatment. He guides your decision but does not choose for you. I never felt pressured while choosing my treatment option. Dr. Maender has helped me through several different issues, and every time, I'm impressed with him and the treatment received.
