Dr. Robert Adelson, MD

Received a call from office telling me they would do a referral to Neurologist. After a week I called and left a message because no one answered phone. Another week went by and I sent a message through the portal. Still no answer. Dr Adelson is a good doctor, but I also need communication with the staff. I can't wait a month for a referral. I finally sent a message through the portal cancelling my future appointments with Albany ENT.

I really liked Dr Adelson and I think he is a good doctor. Saw him twice. I cancelled a follow-up and further testing he ordered because the office staff couldn't get it right. I wasn't able to complete my new patient forms online due to incorrectly recorded demographics preventing me from moving beyond my name. Scheduled my first follow-up appointment with a totally different doctor, not even in the timeframe specified-which was based on the standard duration of a prescribed therapy to see if it was going to be effective. Handed me an order for a CT without instruction that they only use certain imaging centers to get views that would guide surgery should that be necessary. I tried to schedule where they wanted me to go and that imaging center wouldn't schedule my test unless they received the order electronically directly from Dr Adelson's office, and they told me they never received an order. Called the office explained the situation. Three strikes. Lost my confidence and trust

Dr. Adelson attended to some serious nosebleeds I was experiencing. He has a very high level of technical expertise. He also has excellent communication skills and expresses concern for his patient. I cannot imagine being in better hands during a serious event.

The doctor has been treating me for a sinus infection for over a month. He is extremely hard to reach. I had a gap of over a week between antibiotic therapy because he was too busy operating. For non surgical procedures, go elsewhere.

Dr Adelson is extremely knowledgeable yet humble. He takes the tone to explain all procedures and also to listen to what you have to say. As a rule, I am not very fond of doctors yet I have no apprehension about going to see him. I highly recommend Dr Adelson to any friends that need an excellent sinus doctor.

I needed a septorhinoplasty reconstruction surgery. I was terrified. Everything went very smoothly!! Leading up to it, Dr. Adelson was super available for questions. As far as I've seen, he is very professional and will do anything he can to make you feel better/more informed. The same followed after surgery; he'll take his time to answer all questions and ease any worries. My nose looks GREAT! I'd recommend him to anyone and everyone!

My son was supposed to have surgery to correct and issue he was born with. My first clue that he was not the one to do my son's surgery was the fact that he had no idea when the right age to do the surgery was. Not only that, he had mentioned he had experience in the surgery, come to find out he did not. We were told the surgery was going to be hours long, and my son who was 4 months old at the time would have a nose that wouldn't grow properly. Our Ped told us not to get surgery with him!

I am extremely impressed with Dr. Adelson and his staff, they are heads above other ENTs that I have seen. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and he takes time to get to know each of his patients. Scheduling may be difficult because he is highly sought after, but he is absolutely worth the wait. My septorhinoplasty performed by Dr. Adelson has allowed me to breathe better than I ever have before. I am completely satisfied and I highly recommend Dr. Adelson.

Dr. Adelson is brilliant and extremely intelligent. With kind, caring bedside manners, he made my septorhinoplasty surgery a smooth process. I would recommend him 100%. He truly has been an angel in my life.

Dr. Adelson is by far the best doctor (not only ENT) that I have ever gone to. He was able to correct the mistakes from my prior sinus surgery at another local ENT office and the outcome was perfect. He takes the time to sit and talk to you, something you don't get with many doctors anymore, understanding your symptoms, offering suggestions, actually caring about your condition. Sat with me and reviewed my scans to show me the issues I had explaining each, wow! Highly recommend Dr. Adelson.

Dr. Adelson is the most phoenmal Doctor that I have had the pleasure of being a patient. He was able to treat my breathing problems through a surgical approach due to my extremely deviated septum. I am an active athlete and I can breathe fully through both nostrils now. Also, I would get headaches due to sinus pressure that has now completely subsided. Although at times there can be a bit of a wait at the ent to see him, it is because he treats all of his patients with the same quality care :)

awesome, more knowledgeable doctors are few and far between. 100% satisfied with Dr Adelson. His entire staff is top notch as well. I drove 3 hrs to appointments with him, and it was the best decision I made. What multiple ENT doctors failed to fix over a three year period, he fixed in three months.

Very very well informed through and absolutely great bedside manner
