I love dr Cuevas, she’s been my RA for years, my condition has improved tremendously since I’ve been seeing her, she makes lots of suggestions for better improvement to your condition, while she does her part as far as your meds. I feel very comfortable with her , yes we pay for parking , but that is the least of my problems. She’s Great! I’ve never had a problem, she’s a doctor , not a miracle worker, but close.

Working in that office I would not recommend anyone to work there nor would I refer a patient. Dr Cuevas is rude and talks about her patients as soon as they walk out the door. She’s rude to her staff that’s why she has a big turn around in that office. No patient or employee should feel belittled. I have never worked anywhere with no professionalism.

I was recommended by my primary physician to see Dr. Rita Cuevas about my rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Cuevas is very knowledgeable about my condition. I'm not waiting in the lobby for a long period of time.Dr. Cuevas listen too my issues about my rheumatoid arthritis and pain. She's not one of those doctors that would just rush her patients in and out. Dr. Cuevas takes her time and really helps me and make sure that I understand about my condition and the medication I am given.Dr. Cuevas detect a problem in my blood work when my primary doctor overlooked it. She doesn't let me leave until I have the full understanding of what is needed to be done so I can get better. I would recommend anyone with osteoporosis and or rheumatoid arthritis too seek Dr. Cuevas as their rheumatologist. Kudos to Dr. Cuevas and her great staff.

Dr. Cuevas is one of the kindest doctors I have ever visited. Before I retired I had been a nurse for 30 years and have seen a doctor or two in and out of hospitals and offices and I can tell you Dr. Cuevas is kind, caring, spiritual, She takes her time listening to her patients and works with you on treatments. When I first visited her I needed a cane to get to her office. Now I haven't used a cane in a couple of years. and I'm almost 80.

I went to see Cuevas (my one and only visit to any rheumatologist in San Antonio) in early 2000's-didn't know to whom to report her-ethics board? now... chronic pain since 1978-diagnosed with fibo in 1985 and RA in mid 1990's (I have a strong faith in God and thank him daily for my many blessings and ask for help when I feel inspired to do so). CUEVAS SAID,"IF YOU HAD MORE FAITH IN GOD, YOU WOULDN'T BE IN THIS MUCH PAIN!!! doctor? appropriate medical response? k kline

I saw Dr. Cuevas because I was looking for a new rheumatologist, not a second opinion. She was very rude, dismissive, and argumentative. She was so insistent that I had fibro and not sjogrens, which I've had for several years & was extremely symptomatic @ my visit, that she bruised my knee while testing my trigger points. She was arguing with me over my records. She continuously talked over me and increased meds I told her were making me worse and reduced ones that were helping. I left in tears.

I have heard of her and being one of the super doctors in Rheuatology. The only bad part is that I am a new patient and would like to set up and appointment, however, she has an answering machine and whoever that will return the call in 72 hours and to leave a message. How can we leave a message when there answering machine is full and can not leave a message.

Dr. Cuevas should place a Humira neon sign on the office door. My visit became a mockery of my illness. Poor doctor service. Dr told me that Humira was the only treatment she recommeds for Ankylosing Spondylitis. My decision not to receive the injection made her rude and verbally combative. The side effects in my opinion are not worth it. Dr Cueva was insistant Humira was the only treatment. I wonder how much drug companies pay the good doctor for pushing Humira. 1st visit is my last visit.

I have been seen a number of times in Dr. Cuevas office. She takes the time to listen, understand, answer questions, treats me as a fellow human being and works WITH me - not just a patient or a means to an income. It is very refreshing.

I will not return. I had a 1:00 appt and was seen at 3:30. The second appt was scheduled at 4:00 and I was left in the room for 1 hour and 15 minutes. I left and I will never go back. I was made to sign an agreement to not miss an appt or I would be billed for missing. Can I bill her for keeping me waiting.
