Dr. Rimma Finkel, MD

I went to this surgeon for a breast reconstruction after a lumpectomy and radiation. Dr. Finkel stated that the breast that had the radiation had some fibrosis so as a result she won’t be able to make my breasts “exactly” the same height. I was ok with that because no one has breasts that are “exactly” the same. She 100 percent should have talked me out of it completely because, after 2 surgery tries, my breasts look worse than before I walked into her office. She is right. I do have fibrosis but she was so casual about it I just thought my breasts would be a little lopsided. I can’t even look at myself. My breasts are not only still lopsided but I also have a hard mass in the “back fat” area that is apparent when I wear a slightly tighter shirt. The reconstruction of one of my breasts is so bad it hurts underneath to wear a bra. I saw another surgeon and was told that I should have simply had an implant put in on the 1 breast but said he couldn’t fix the rest and I can’t afford it.

Dr. Finkel, once again, did wonderful work with my reconstruction revision! She listened to my concerns and the results were PERFECT! The staff are friendly, efficient and caring!I would recommend her to anyone!Thanks again!

I had a Total Mastectomy 15 years ago, in the last 5 years my chest has been so tight, hard and deformed, I have been in extreme discomfort! So I went in to see Dr Rimma Finkel, she is a Wonderful Doctor and has a Great Staff!She redid my chest, I now have normal looking chest and my pain and discomfort is relieved! You couldn’t ask for a Better Surgeon than Dr Rimma Finkel! She is Awesome!!!

Staff is very attentive and helpful especially when I needed FMLA paperwork and notes for work. Dr Finkel is such an artist who does beautiful work. She has repaired my body giving me back my confidence after going through breast cancer.

Dr. Finkel is warm, caring, and extremely knowledgable. She cares deeply for her patients and is available to answer questions as needed. Her bedside is amazing!

I could not be happier with Dr Finkel and her staff. They all made me feel so welcomed and cared for.

In a vulnerable time of having breast cancer and needing bilateral mastectomy’s this is the LAST person you should consider. She’s dismissive, condescending and does not care about her patients or their post op healing/well being. I cannot wait for this process to be over and unfortunately it just started. Save yourself the stress and disappointment.

Had a bi-lateral mastectomy. My breasts healed with noticeable distortion. went back to her and ended up with 2 more corrections which only had made them worse and it looked like an armature had worked on them. My family and friends were asking what was going on with these so called "tweeking" corrections that were suppose to look far better than what I ended up with. Both breasts are now falling under my armpits!! One of them is showing two large lumps that looks like there are socks stuffed in it. One hangs much lower. Its very distorted and even with wearing a bra you can see that they look lopsided. I have not even completed reconstruction surgery with the areolas and nipples. There is no way I can because of the reconstruction she has already done. Horrible!! The reasons she is giving me is one of several..ie; you had a lot of radiation and it distorts the shape. Or, your skin is too thin or stretched. She is nice but not a good in my circumstance.

The best doctor and staff I have had the privilege of having on my care team.

Finkle is always in a hurry she gets you in and out in under 5 minutes. Front desk Serenity was complaining about getting through 82 patients in one day. (2018) Who can give correct medical advice to 82 different people in 1 day? My breasts are pointing outward (towards armpits), one is very high, my other is sagging. Finkle always has an excuse, mine was because I didn't take allergy medicine for the swelling. BEWARE! in 2020 I heard Serenity complaining on the phone about a new "black girl" and how she has to explain to her how to do her job. Why can't the new girl just be a "girl"?!?! If you go here look at the floor and walls, they always have blood and fluid on them. There is always a dog roaming around, too. Why is a dog allowed in a medical facility? Do you know how much bacteria a dog carries around?!

I had a great expererance with my tummy tuck. No complications. Dr Finkel was attentive to me and answered all my questions.

Was diagnosed a second time with breast cancer. Have to have double mastectomy and was referred to her my my surgeon. She came across as very uncaring. She spoke to the floor and only made eye contact with me a few times. Left me feeling like I didn’t matter.

Dr. Finkel is the best! She was my surgeon 8 years ago and unfortunately, I am on my 2nd breast cancer diagnosis. She is direct and to the point in explaining my options and how I would be affected. I have complete trust in her and so happy she is part of my team. Her office staff is friendly, compassionate and helpful. Thank you, Dr. Finkel and your staff!!!

Both breast are horrible. 4 surgeries. The explanation is always something like “that happens with radiation or thin skin”. Bottom line, want to see some ugly breasts after surgery? Want pictures of black & blue after 5 years and bleeding breast and drooping nipples?

I am so pleased with my results. Dr. Was wonderful. I should have come here from the start. So happy Dr. Finkel was able to fix what needed to be fixed and the outcome was great!
