Just talk and no treatment
Dr. Weiner is all about just sit down and talk to you ONLY. A pain specialist cannot even give a cortisone injection and refer you elsewhere. Just imagine you go to your primary physician in pain and they forward you to a specialist for treatment and you go to a specialist Dr. Weiner who outsource you to another doctor for simple treatment such as cortisone injection (what good is a specialist doctor who cannot poke an injection needle) !

Unnecessary Appointment and scheduling issues
Telehealth
The initial visit with Dr. Weiner was good. She explained well & provided information on my previously done bloodwork (from my other doctor). She requested I re-test my bloodwork (Same tests) & schedule a telehealth after I get results. The week before the apt. the office called to re-schedule as it was 'outside office hours'. After back and forth they kept the original time. 5 minutes before the apt. they said the doctor would be late. 30 minutes later she called (no video as I was told there would be). The call lasted 3 minutes. All that was said was the results are the same which was talked about in the first apt. and that I did not need a follow up. They billed this as an in-office 30min apt. I called to question this, and they couldn’t do anything. I understand they can bill this as in-office, but what I do not understand is why keep an apt. where it should have been handled as a portal message “no change in results, no follow-up needed”. It is not ideal to pay for a non-service.

Terrible office practices.
There was a billing error. You cannot get through to a live person on their phone system. I left 5 messages and could not get a call back. Will complain to BBB, AMA and IL Dept of Insurance. Will go to another practitioner.
