Not a good experience. Seek for 2nd opinion.n!
He missed the hallmarks of a disease (nephrotic syndrome) and missed the correct treatment approach.- a very important step in preventing progression of a chronic kidney disease. How sad ! I sought 2nd opinion with a very competent MD who immediately ordered kidney biopsy revealing a pathology afar from what Dr. Dukkipati was even considering (diabetic nephropathy). It displayed his stubbornness to listen to his patient (I am a pediatrician in my country). I asked him if I was a candidate for kidney biopsy to ascertain the diagnosis and he did not listen. I opted to leave his care.

This doctor devotes a tremendous amount of time to his most critical patients, and genuinely cares about their overall health. If you have an emergent condition, he will come to the hospital at any time of day. The main concern is that it is difficult to get an office appointment, as he has very limited office hours outside of the dialysis clinics.
