Dr. Salah Sonbol, MD

Dr Sonbol is kind and respectful. He takes time to explain and to listen to what you have to say. I never feel rushed and feel free to ask questions that get answered. He is very knowledgeable about all my medical needs. I would feel very confident recommending Dr Sonbol

I was admitted to Los Robles for a gastrointestinal issue, but the attending doctors deferred to Mr. Sonbol, the on call nephrologist because I’d previous received a kidney transplant. Mr. Sonbol (I can’t bring myself to call him a doctor) drastically changed the dosing levels of a medication that UCLA had prescribed for my kidney transplant. When I pointed out UCLA was adamant about the levels, he dismissed my concerns and claimed to “know more about transplants, than the doctors at UCLA”. Also, I have diminished kidney function and he put me on a high-speed IV drip. Within 3 days I’d put on 25 pounds and was having trouble eating, sleeping and breathing. I asked for a new nephrologist who immediately took me off of the IV and reduced the aforementioned medication which both he and UCLA said was dangerous to increase in my condition. Mr. Sonbol is a danger and will end up killing someone with his arrogance and lack of medical knowledge.

Dr. Sonbol took care of my father who was in renal failure for 7 years. He did an outstanding job and I would trust no other to care for my father.
