My wife recently had her annual blood work done at this lab, and we were shocked to receive a fasting triglyceride result of 1215 mg/dL, which is extremely high and can indicate a serious health risk. Naturally, this caused a great deal of anxiety and concern for our family. To be sure, she repeated the test just 5 days later, also fasting, and her triglyceride level came back at 210 mg/dL — a dramatic drop that strongly suggests the first result may have been inaccurate or due to a lab error. When we reached out to the lab for clarification, we were disappointed by the lack of clear communication or accountability. We understand that mistakes can happen, but when dealing with sensitive health data, accuracy and support are critical. I’m sharing this so others can be cautious and make sure to verify abnormal results before jumping to conclusions. We hope the lab takes this feedback seriously and improves its quality control and patient support.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sarkar's for several years now and she has correctly diagnosed and treated several illnesses for me. When I first saw her, it was her first week at Premier Healthcare of North Texas I was unsure, as I would be about any new doctor, of her knowledge, bedside manor and ability to communicate effectively with me. In very short order I found her to be friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. She is very straight forward and explains things in plain English- why she wants to perform certain tests and never "talks down" to me. I never feel rushed and she takes the time to explain in as much detail as necessary, the issue\procedure\test results under discusion. She listens to me and takes into consideration my feelings about certain drugs and my reaction to them. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor and I partially give her credit for getting me back to healthy state I am in now.

My expectations to go back to see Dr. Sarkar were incredibly high due to a magnificent first visit. However, during my second visit, her rudeness and horrible unprofessional behavior destroyed my first magical experience at her clinic. To my surprise, she was belligerent, disrespectful and her demeanor was inexcusable for a health care professional that deals with the physcology of an illness and the understandable ignorance of patients. If you need medical help consider another doctor.

Leaving Addison Family Medical Care and specifically Dr. Rakhi Sarkar as her lack of personal health care and follow through is unacceptable. I had been a patient of this group 12 years and through 6 Doctor turnovers.
