I've been a patient of Ranier's for years pre/post his being a concierge physician. He is also a hospitalist which should be duly noted if you ever should be hospitalized! His care, concern, commitment, and service is beyond reproach - and this was prior to his becoming a concierge doctor. I have had him call me at night, on weekends, holidays, etc. just to check up on me and make certain I am doing okay, feeling better, making certain my medications are working, etc. He is one of a kind

This is a concierge doctor, which means that before he will see patients, he charges $2000 out-of-pocket expense to belong to his club or group. I understand it is an annual fee. Doctors like this should not be covered by any insurance at all, and if they are, it should be noted that they are not doctors that are affordable. They should be demarcated as a different kind of doctor so that people would know not to contact them. Why would anyone assume this person had patients' wellbeing at heart?
