One minute 30 seconds
I have had this doctor for about 2 years. Dr spends literally a minute and a half in the room with me. She has helped me get medications under control with Hashimotos as I was overdosed with prior doctor on T3. However, all she cares about is getting your number in range, AND THAT IS IT! Any concerns I have brought to her are totally ignored. Every appointment she has with me she rushes through the questions and is dismissive of me as a human being. She acts like a robot more than a doctor.

I was searching because I switched insurance for new endocrinologist and came across Dr.Fischer Oiknine's name and had horrifying flashbacks from having her talk down and belittle me as I was in an examining room trying to get medical treatment. The most arrogant, ignorant narcissist I have ever encountered. Horrible Human Being! I thought maybe it was me and that her best friend died right before my appt. Nope, I am definitely not alone after reading reviews! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!

Credit where due, she found my Hashimotos. I stayed 5 years despite the fact she was: Dismissive of my concerns (weight gain due to dosage decrease. It was the only change in my life) Condescending attitude (maybe you should eat 1200 cal or less - I was eating 800-1000) Rushed exam (In & out in 5 minutes, incl throat squeeze). Unreasonable (wear your mask - after I told her I have issues with them) Just went 'inactive' today when they called to reschedule an overdue appt. Not going back. Would not recommend.

My experience with the doctor and her office was great. The office staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. Dr. Rachel Oikinine had read my medical records before she came in the exam room, explained in detail what the problem might entail, set up recommended testing in her lab which was done professionally and efficiently. At no time did I feel rushed and frankly she had answered my concerns and if I had had any questions I certainly felt comfortable enough to ask. If necessary I would certainly see her again.

Run from this doctor! She is cold, impersonal, and rushes to get out of the room - I have seen her twice for a thyroid disorder & each visit was no more than 10 minutes. She displays no warmth or compassion. She had no interest in listening to my concerns, much less giving me eye contact and showing concern for my condition or feedback. Do not waste your time or emotional strength on Dr. Fishman.

Yikes. – Aug 18, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Fishman Oiknine?
I wish I would have read her reviews before. I have been waiting over two weeks for my lab reports. When I call they are rude telling me they are not in, not to call and play phone tag, call , message portal only, I did that to doctor, she never responded after 3 days. My heart Dr is amazed that they can’t see results, so they finally did new blood test which came back in four hours telling me there was an issue. My daughter is an internal medicine doc with Mercy and she said there is no reason for this! So my advice is look at her reviews, you might want to find a different doctor. I am finding another asap. Had a great recommendation from my heart doctor!

What a horrible doctor with a horrible practice. So uncaring and looks down on you for asking questions or making suggestions. People are more than numbers, you have to care about how they feel. She could care less and won't even listen. Doctors like this should not have a license. Won't even return phone calls. Good riddance.

It's impossible to keep my review short. I have never felt so disrespected & pushed aside as I have with this doctor for YEARS. It was an abusive relationship where I just let Dr. Rachel bully me for years. To be treated as if I was an idiot child who didn't know any better. I came to her with a list of serious concerns & symptoms & they were all brushed aside & ignored. I was told I needed more sleep & wear loose shoes, those were her solutions to me having memory loss & tingling in my feet. I have left her office on more than a dozen occasions crying & feeling utterly hopeless. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy. Someone in their billing department called to tell me the results of my bloodwork who was NOT a nurse & didn't know what she was reading. When I tried to transfer my files to a new doctor it was like I was held hostage, it was nearly impossible & my husband & I were actually yelled at by a nurse on the phone & told "there was no need for us to ever communicate again"

NEVER see this doctor unless you want to suffer – Sep 24, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Fishman Oiknine?
I seen Dr Rachel Fishman Oiknine, MD and the 1st time i seen her she was rude and was so cold and didn’t explain much of anything to me. She was not at all friendly and seemed as though she was rushing to get out of the room as fast as she could. She gets agitated if you ask questions. I had labs drawn and it took me two weeks to get the results. She does not examine you she sits at her computer and types then when shes done leaves and tells you to get labs done. She never followed my care - she didnt order the correct test the surgeon who did my surgery ordered the test and f/u ultrasound then she wanted the results. if you are to see her dont go her staff is nice but thats not enough. I will give 1 star for her staff for which i feel sorry for.

I was once hospitalized in a foreign country and couldn’t communicate with my doctors and that was a lovely experience compared to meeting Dr. Fishman. I could overlook the horrific bedside manner but she dismissed my blood tests, my questions and real concerns. I was horrified, in tears, and had zero information on how to feel better until my thyroid numbers became low enough for her to treat me.

Horrifying – Jan 23, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Fishman Oiknine?
It’s been a few months since I’ve seen Dr. Fishman for the first (and last) time and I’m just now feeling composed enough to write this. She’s an incredibly smart woman but a terrible, horrible, no good doctor. I couldn’t tell if she wasn’t listening to me or maybe she simply didn’t care. I had symptoms of Hashimoto’s; hair loss, memory problems, terrible fatigue and she told me that I was fine, and to try some rogaine and work harder at losing weight. I was in tears when I left, and thank goodness I took some good advice and found another Endocronologist. He listened to me, was kind and compassionate, and was willing to try to find solutions. There’s no comparison between a doctor who cares, and one who seems like a raging narcissist with no regard to what her patients are going through. When I told her I’m working with a nutritionist and a trainer, and eating 1200 calories a day she told me to try harder to lose weight and use some rogaine. I wish I could give zero stars. Beware!

Run, She’s Terrible – Jan 22, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Fishman Oiknine?
I saw Dr Rachel Fishman about 10 yrs ago. She's the worse Doctor I've ever seen. She was very rude. But the worse part was her misdiagnosis of my thyroid disease. She demanded I have my thyroid removed or I would die from some rare heart disease. She never tried any other approach. As a result of having my thyroid removed, I have suffered and now have Hashimotos. It's awful. I rarely feel good. Find another Doctor. Run as fast as you can from this quack.

During the visits with Dr Fishman, I found her to be professional yet empathetic. Dr Fishman is very effective with her communication pertaining to her clinical impressions of my health. Dr Fishman was clear when relaying test results and plan of treatment. I was included in the plan of treatment and was comfortable with our targeted goals. Dr Fishman was efficient but never in a hurry. Dr Fishman demonstrated excellent listening skills when I provided a lengthy medical history and current concerns. Dr Fishman presented herself as calm, straight forward and direct. I felt that she has a genuine interest in my care and progress with her and my overall health.
