Telehealth
I highly recommend Dr. Halawi, her knowledge, care and compassion for me during this period was greatly appreciated. I went to Dr. Halawi on an unrelated matter, and it was her that saw something unusual in my abdomen along with some anomalies in my blood work which lead to additional imaging. This imaging found a 14cm mass that was then removed. She helped to expedite the process to get me in to see a surgeon. I cannot express my deepest gratitude to her for how she handled me and continues to work with me. She is a great asset to the Baylor system

Awesome Dr Halawi
I met Dr Halawi for the first time and she was awesome for the first minute we met. She was thorough and explained all the issues she eased my concerns about my problems and the expected treatments. She was not in a rush and made sure that I had all my questions answered before leaving. I would recommend her to everyone who is looking for a caring honest doctor.

Highly Professional and LISTENS!
Post Pulmonary Embolism and subsequent Heart Attack, advised by my Pulmonologist to attend a Hematologist to investigate my predisposition to clotting. We still have a few tests remaining, but, up to this point I am extremely satisfied with her level of conduct in trying to ascertain what is happening.

She Will Lower Your Chances of Survival
I was told that she couldn't figure out what was wrong and it took 5 months of blood tests for me to self diagnose kidney problems leading to an ultrasound that led to them finding a gigantic tumor on my liver. I told her I had huge pain in my shoulder with a clean MRI / CT from an ortho surgeon. A classic sign of almost all cancers of the digestive system because the tumor presses on a nerve that runs to your shoulder. When I thought I had blood cancer I did a TON of research into stuff that will make chemotherapy more effective. When I told her I think curcumin would be extremely useful (1000's of studies proving it kills cancer AND makes chemo more effective). She not only told me not to take it but told me to stop researching and that curcumin could be potentially harmful. Me and her had a heated argument over the phone after I basically self diagnosed my cancer and she LIED and put on my patient notes that I was rude AND she said she was the one that diagnosed the liver cancer.

Dr. Halawi review
Referred to Dr. Halawi for longstanding hematology condition. I've had several appointments with her and have found she is consistently thorough investigating and understanding the specifics of my condition, both past and present. Dr. Halawi has been patient in explaining lab test findings and her medical conclusions as to what I might expect in the future from my condition and how to best manage it going forward. I trust Dr. Halawi's care for me as a patient.
