Avoid this “Doctor”!!!
I was under care of dr Rumpal for few years. Every three months he was checking my blood work counts to see progression of my Cronic Lymphotic Leukemia. It seems fine till I get to the hospital with the blood related emergency. We called to office many times, send a messages through patient portal asking for his help or advice at least. His nurse contacted us saying he is very busy but got a messages and will call us back soon. He never did. I lost whole week of necessarily treatment. In a week I was admitted to Sloan Kettering hospital where I got proper treatment. Patient relations office assign me with different doctor. Dr Rumpal has medical license but his behavior better describes him as a businessman not a doctor - he doesn’t spend time if he is not going to be paid for. Be aware of that. It might cost you life to getting “treatment” from “doctor “ like Rumpal.

Caring and responsive
I'm recently diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare blood cancer. Dr. Rampal and his team have been wonderful and responsive. Calls and messages are returned quickly and I'm participating in a clinical trial. Overall the Memorial Sloan Kettering experience has been very impressive.
