Bad experience.
What stood out in our visit, after a very long talk, which had nothing to do with why I was there. I was there to address my ADHD. I felt I was being judged. Dr Ramirez has done work in jails and prisons, and she is an addiction specialist. I have never been to prison, and I've never been arrested for any kind of drugs, yet I was sent to another agency for testing. She did not trust the doctor that I had been seeing, and she did not trust me at all. Very unprofessional. I have seen 15 to 20 doctors just like her before, and I know exactly what I am talking about. She is very quick to judge. I have ADHD, have since third grade. She totally ignored and refused to help me. She sent me to another psychological agency for testing. The agency she sent me to 3 months later, was still not helpful. I have to go back to my primary care provider and get another referral and start all over again. 3 months wasted, plus the time it took to be able to see her. Would not recommend this doctor.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with This Psych
My experience with this psychiatrist was disappointing. After only an hour of talking, she rushed to a diagnosis without fully listening to me. She constantly spoke over me, using irrelevant medical jargon, and immediately pushed a benzodiazepine as my only treatment option. When I refused the medication and asked for further evaluation, she denied my request, claiming I’d already been fully assessed based on a short conversation and a brief questionnaire with a handful of questions. When I asked for a second opinion within the clinic, I was told I’d need to go outside their network, which felt like another failure. This doctor didn’t take the time to properly evaluate me and instead forced me into a diagnosis she’s comfortable treating. Diagnosing someone in one hour without thorough testing is careless and leads to misdiagnosis. This clinic failed me, and I believe they’ll continue to fail others with this approach.

Cold, abrasive and impersonal
My experience with Dr. Rameriz was far from a positive one. I decided to seek help from a psychiatrist after going through a life changing illness. I came into her office with a willing heart and an open mind to help and direction. Unfortunately I left baffled and in tears. She seemed to pick and choose what she focused on as she asked me questions about my life and my experiences. At my very short second visit she proceeded to verbalize and project onto me her assumptions about me, my emotions and my willingness to be proactive in my care. This was my experience with a psychiatrist and will be my last. Visits like mine are stereotypical reason why people do not seek help from a psychiatrist.

I worked with Dr. Ramirez for over 2 years where I watched her care for her patients and bring about significant improvements in patient mood and thought processes. She is patient and works with her patients to develop a plan of treatment that is functional and prescriptive. She is highly skilled at treating mood disorders and acute psychiatric needs.
