He Hates His Job so He Treats You Terribly
It’s evident he is overworked, unfortunately he takes this out on patients. It manifests in the form of rushed appointments, a mean attitude including mean faces and remarks, and overall mediocre care. Stay away from him, you won’t get good care. If possible stay away from the whole hospital system because I’m assuming they overwork all their doctors.

He’s not about helping you
He is all about you making him feel like a competent doctor. If you struggle, it’s a problem for his ego.

I asked him his first name. He asked why. I thought that was odd. I said since I would be pouring my heart out to him it would be nice to know. I was dealing with my husbands recent stage IV cancer diagnosis. Dr Izzo sent me to a therapist who encouraged me to stay in the present, avoid leaning into the future and the unknown. When I told Dr Izzo this he said “I think you have to come to grips that you’re husband will succumb to the cancer”. Over 4 years now and my husband is still alive. Lastly, he prescribed meds to help me sleep. The medication did the opposite and made me wired so I took an ativan which he had prescribed for anxiety. He proceeded to reprimand me like a child. He said our relationship has to be based on trust. Made me feel like a drug addict when all I wanted to do was get a decent nights sleep. No compassion. Very perfunctory. Poor people skills. Would never go back nor recommend to anyone!

I used to have the highest regard for Dr. Izzo. Then his treatment left me suicidal. Avoid at all costs.
