Dr. Petra Swidler, MD

Dr Swidler was wonderful with my daughter. Her office is bright and inviting. She made my daughter feel very comfortable while she assessed her. Dr Swidler also took the time to speak with my daughter and I - we did not feel rushed, which I do not think is typical any longer with doctors. Dr Swidler was able to provide me with resources in the community that will help my daughter, as well as give me useful information and recommendations. She explained my daughter’s diagnosis in a way that my daughter could understand. We had a very positive experience overall. I could tell that Dr Swidler really cares about her patients and wants to help them lead better lives. It’s great to finally have some direction in how to best help my daughter and better understand what she’s going through. I highly recommend her.

This would never ever be an option again for My kids. Dr. Swiddler is very antiquated in her knowledge about child development in my opinion. For the school she went to is good but I wonder how much recent training she has had or if she just doesn't care or agree......she told me about Pavlovs dog theory in comparison to my son which is insulting because he's not a dog. She also told my husband to "quit the crap" on the first evaluation. She also told us my son was not autistic because he made perfect eye contact. With her and he was trying to interact with her by touching her shoes. ......she had an intern with her that day and it was obvious the intern was also intimidated by this lady. When I took my son for ados testing they asked me why Dr swindler sent him if there was obvious red flags. At school teachers asked me if he was diagnosed and when I said no they also wondered why.. Dr. Swindler told us my son was just a "grand prince" and basically spoiled and thus my concerns w
