Love this doctor
Dr G takes time with me and listens to what I have to say. He was a Godsend in the mid 2000s after I had a meningioma removed. He tried many different treatments and found just what I needed to calm my symptoms. Now, 14 years later, I drive from Ocean Isle Beach to Huntersville so he can continue caring for me.

Awful and difficult practice
Not a good experience at all!?!! This is due to the way his office is ran. Doctor is unreachable unless you schedule an appointment to see him. You are not allowed to email him or get a call back from him. Long wait times, long times o schedule testing, office staff is not helpful. After prescribing medications, no monitoring of patients, no follow up. This practice needs classes in taking care of their patients!!!!

Disappointed patient – Feb 10, 2023

We love Dr. Giallanza! We started going there because of my daughters terrible migraines. We all get them but hers are debilitating. He found a great medicine for her and she rarely gets them now. Even if she does, they are only about half as painful. I started seeing him for some things too. He really cares and works hard to come up with answers. He also listens to you and discusses any thoughts or concerns you have. The staff is friendly however they are known for occasionally being slow to return calls or make calls. But we just remind them. Dr. Giallanza is worth keeping.

The staff is very nice, but Dr. Giallanza always just did the simple tests for cognitive abilities on my Dad and always just kept him on the same medicines. I felt like he didn't really offer any other suggestions of ways to tackle my fathers memory loss. He started bringing his dog into the patient rooms with him, which I found to be unprofessional. He would ask if it was OK for the dog to be there. We were caught off guard and said yes. He then left us in the room with the dog, and it actually hopped up on the chair and peed on my Dad's jacket!!! I love dogs, but this is unacceptable. The next time we visited I thought for sure he would have written in his notes to not bring the dog in the room with us again, but he did the same thing. This time I told him no way. That was the last visit we had with Dr. Giallanza and I went searching for another Dr.

I URGE YOU, IF YOU ARE A PATIENT WHO SUFFERS, NEVER EVER CONSIDER THIS DOCTOR OR ANY STAFF IN THE PRACTICE FOR YOUR WELLBEING. THIS IS TRULY EGREGIOUS. have been seeing this doctor for nearly 10 years. I saw him before he branched out in his own practice as well as since then. I have had a multitude of issues receiving the care I needed when suffering debilitating migraines. I NEEDED TO HAVE THE BLOCKS PRE-APPROVED AND COVERED,VIA PEER TO PEER DOCTOR TO BCBS, HE HAS NOT DONE IT FOR OVER A YEAR.

Most difficult process I have every experienced over 5 months - repeated calls to office to get appointment, delays in connecting with insurance , miscommunication on followup, and still don't have the results of the exam. No one calls from the office regarding a status. I am billed over $400 with no results provided or a phone call to determine how to get them. Office staff is kind when you call, but rely on him. I have requested a refund/credit so I can go elsewhere.

I’ve been under Dr. G. for over 8 years. He has helped me with my Parkinson’s dease. Which could be difficult because I also had a kidney transplant. I would not want to see anyone else.

Was very pleased with Dr. Giallanza, he listened and truly cared about my problem, and researched different ways to help, he also asked if there were other problems, which he was more than willing to help me with, I think of him as a 100% concerned doctor, checking all the boxes and would recommend it freely. In fact my primary doctor recommended him to me to begin with.

My daughter's first visit was yesterday with Dr.Giallanza and it went great. The first Dr along my daughter's journey that knew what I was talking about and he knew what needed to be done to get my daughter back to somewhat remotely to her old self before she got her autoimmune disease. The staff was amazing as well.

This physician's practice claims they treat neurology and sleep. They focus more on sleep studies than neurology itself by far. So this might be the place for you, but not if you need a neurologist only if you want a sleep study done. This is their primary focus. Please don't waste your time if you have general neurological concerns.

Cares and wanted to help me in the best way possible. Went into his office with feelings of no hope, left with feelings of "ok I can do this". Picked up the prescribed medications and after dealing with two months of excruciating pain which caused little sleep at night and no rest through the day, I finally had relief that evening! He knows what he's doing.

r. G was nice at his appointment however when I was out of medicine he refused to authorize it two days early, not even one pill, for a medicine to control my seizures. I will now be taking my business elsewhere. I just moved here from out of town and I am extremely disappointed as this was not how my old neurologist would have treated a situation that could literally put me in the hospital.
