Urolift Gone Bad
When my Urolift procedure didn’t seem to be working, Dr. Burrows told me that one of the Urolift staples had floated into my bladder. There, it formed a stone that was too large to pass, thus requiring surgery under general anesthesia. Having lost confidence in Dr. Burrows, I found another urologist. By the time of the surgery, the stone had grown to be more than inch across. Furthermore, the staple was not floating in the bladder, but rather was imbedded into the bladder lining so much so it couldn’t be pulled out. Instead, it had to be cut down close to the bladder lining. It is my belief that the staple did not float upstream into the bladder but rather was shot accidentally into the bladder during the Urolift procedure. In my research of the Urolift procedure, I never saw mention of an Urolift staple ending up in the bladder as a possible complication. I wanted others to be aware of this possibility and to be informed that this occurred under the care of Dr. Peter Burrows.

Find ANOTHER doctor
Doctor did urolift without proper workup, missing metastatic prostate cancer despite high PSA's by over 20 months. Also, doctor has no patient portal and staff is dismal at follow ups, returning calls, placing prescriptions. He does and sells procedures.......that kind of doc.

I've had one office visit with Dr Burrows and the visit went well. He is knowledgeable and confident in his abilities. Dealing with the rest of the office is marginal at best. There isn't any feeling from any of them, in person and on the phone (when you can get through).

Failed UroLift. Had a UroLift procedure from Dr. Burrows that failed almost immediately. 4 of 5 implants were missing. He could not explain why or how this could happen. I contacted the maker of UroLift and was told that they had only seen this type of thing in the case where the surgeon deployed the implants incorrectly. I was also misled as to whether the implant debris was still in my body. Saw a different Urologist and he immediately ran a test that proved the implant material is still in my body. I am evaluating corrective steps now. So glad I consulted with a new Urologist.

Dr. Burrows is a wonderful doctor. Very helpful and considerate and extremely professional. However, it is almost impossible to get phone calls returned by his staff. Prescription refills when sent from my pharmacy are rarely returned, extremely frustrating when close to or out of meds. Doctor Burrows is a five star physician but his office staff are one star at best

The sickest I have ever been in my life occurred 36 hours after a biopsy on my prostate. I am still carrying the infection from that incident and am now on my fourth course of antibiotics. I just had another invasive procedure inflicted upon me and of course had to pay a $30 copay for the privilege even though I should not be there at all.

I canceled a surgery 7 days before it was scheduled. After that, I tried calling the office of Dr. Burrows over 20 times over the course of the next 3 weeks to try to reschedule. They usually did not answer the phone and did not return my messages. On the 2 times that I did get a hold of someone, I was told that the surgery scheduler would have to get back to me. She never did. Finally, after 3 weeks of calling, I got a hold of someone and told her that I felt like they were purposely not retur

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Burrows or his staff. I had received botched surgery elsewhere and Dr. Burrows did a revision surgery, correcting everything that was wrong. He restored my self confidence and in my opinion he is a surgical genius! He doesn't speak a lot, but that's because he's super intelligent and confident in his abilities. Michelle the practice manager is very professional and helpful, as is Sasha. Wish I'd found this office earlier.
