Flop
Terrible visit with this Dr, he didn't ask me anything about my concerns which was about allergies and ringing in the ears. He didn't examine my ears or nose just had me open my mouth and he looked at it with a light. I didn't get anything out of the appointment. Total waste of time. I should of waited for Mrs. Timberlake.

Dissatisfied – Mar 07, 2025

If I could give 0 stars, I would!!!
This was by far the worst healthcare visit of my life, and I have had some zingers. First, I had to wait quite a while to see this man. The staff was pretty nice. That’s the only positivity thing I can say. He is the most rude, arrogant man I have ever met. He was so dismissive and talked the entire time. I would try to speak and he’d talk over me. As soon as I would start talking he would start. It was so frustrating. I think I spent about a total or 4 minutes in the room with him. I was still trying to talk to him while he was walking out the door. I was even trying to get answers in the hallway. I got absolutely nothing out of that appointment. With providers losing so much trust these days, he certainly is not helping. I will never go back. I’d rather not be able to breathe or hear if he’s my only option!

Minimal Service
felt like I was getting very brief advice from some guy sitting at a bar over a drink. Was not interested in hearing from me at all. He was out within 10-15 min.

Horrendously bad experience
Abrasive. Egotistical. Obnoxious. Rude. Dismissive. Demeaning. Unprofessional. Unpleasant. Stress-inducing. The staff was great, Monica, Daisy, and Jackie, but the Dr was certainly not. I walked out after less than 90 seconds in the same room with this man, as the thought of him touching and examining me was repulsive. He refused to let me vocalize and listen to my issues. He seemed to enjoy listening to himself belittle me and dismiss my situation. I would gladly pay $500 if I could have avoided this utterly unpleasant interaction. I spent less than 90 seconds with him, which was far too long. I should have canceled and paid the nominal cancellation fee after noticing the lengthy pattern of negative reviews. I wish I had done that as it was rather traumatic. I've spent countless hours thinking about how awful my experience was. I suggest you don’t make the same mistake I did. Life is too short to voluntarily subject yourself to be treated in such a negative manner.

Today was my third visit with the Dr. Paul Reder office. He has an excellent staff. But that's where the good news ends. I paid for a visit with the doctor in 2022. For my fee I received 12 minutes with the doctor. He talked the entire time, I was not allowed to explain my situation and expressed my concerns. Today I tried to receive a quote for a small office procedure called a Myringotomy, which is usually performed as an outpatient basis, in the doctor's office. I had a dual ear Myringotomy procedure in 2015, by a downtown San Antonio ENT doctor. This resulted in perfect hearing, and no reoccurrence. The total time in the ENT office was 30 minutes, and the simple procedure was the application of a gel anesthetic on the eardrum, followed by a small pinhole in the eardrum, then a vacuum removal of the inner ear fluid. There were no complications, nor side effects, except perfect hearing. No tubes were inserted. My total bill for the office visit was $224 including new patient and procedures combined. I am a private pay patient. The doctor's bedside manner was perfect. He has since retired, sadly. Back to today. Dr. Reder has an office in Boerne Texas which is about 30 miles away. I was informed that the doctor there could see me today. I was very excited. However, I found out that they wanted to perform this as an OR procedure in a hospital. The $200 to $300 expected charge, all of a sudden becomes more like $4000-$5000. All I see is that this group sees me as a meal ticket and dollar signs. I cannot recommend this practice at all. There's nothing like greed and pride to turn me off. What happened to the Hippocratic oath?

Waste of time
I would not recommend this doctor at all, complete waste of my time. I waited about 2 months just to get in and see this doctor, only to see him for a total of 3 minutes. He rushed in, didn’t really go over any of my concerns. The only good thing about this place is the office staff were very sweet other than that will not be going back.

Don’t do it – Mar 29, 2023

Soon N.S.I is going to have no complaints because they’ll have no patients to leave one. I’d rather loose my hearing than go back there. They have a doc who doesn’t care to explain anything or answer anything. They also have a lovely staff who just love to diagnose patients, whom by the way have had never ever stepped onto medical campus. True story I still have the text to prove it.

Gotta have a 1 to appreciate your 10s
Definitely the worst experience I've had with a Healthcare provider, and I only spent about 5 minutes with the guy. In that 5 minutes you'll likely learn all you need to know about him. All he sees in you is a paycheck. Lookimg through the reviews out there I see the pattern. He'll tell you he's the smartest guy in the room. Won't listen. Hurry you out. You'll ultimately be greatful that the bar is now so low that nothing can ever disappoint you again. Dude, who hurt you?

I had the worst experience with this doctor. He is rude and does not let you talk. He wants to be in control the entire time and will not listen to your concerns. If you do express concerns, he will tell you that he this is not his first rodeo. If you persist and ask questions, he will tell you that he can't help you and will attempt to walk out on you.

My visit with Dr. Reder was by far the WORST Doctor visit I’ve ever experienced. He was very rude, abrasive and doesn’t really give you a chance to even speak. The rushed visit was pretty much like this is the way it is because I know it all without even asking simple questions. My symptoms were not even addressed and it was a complete waste of time. Save yourself the hassle and insult from being talked down to as if your are ignorant.

I was very pleased with my appointment with Dr. Reder. He’s to-the-point and doesn’t spend any more time with his patients than is necessary to do his job--he’s not rude, just efficient. He diagnosed my problem right away and advised me of my next step. I would have appreciated having a bit more time to ask questions; but I got what I went there for, so no complaints. With over 30 years’ experience, Dr. Reder knows his stuff… just don’t expect him to be too chatty.
