Steep decline in practice
I was a patient for over 20 years, first seeing Dr G in residency at a family clinic. He was a great diagnostician early on - asking questions, performing tests, and seeking a true and complete resolution for health issues. Unfortunately, after moving to private practice, those diagnostic skills became less and less apparent, until disappearing completely. Office visits are rushed, with very little interaction with the doctor. Diagnoses have been replaced with very briefly considered 'treatment plans' - OTC or prescription drugs to mask symptoms instead of addressing cause and finding a permanent cure.

A few years ago I would say that’d I’d recommend people to see him and his practice, but I would not anymore. They are some of the most negative staff these days and are so combative about any medical complaints you have. I switched PCPs and it was a good decision. I hope they can improve again and recover their business.

Do not question him about his staff. I had mix ups of prescription refills two months in a row, I asked to have the Dr. Ganninger contact me about the situation. He did at which time he told me it would be best if I found a new primary care physician. This after almost ten years with him.

After having difficulties getting a prescription refilled. My wife had called the office, staff was rude told my wife if we want the prescription refilled she needed to be quiet and listen. I called the office myself, after being left on hold for several minutes I left a message for Dr. Ganninger to call me back personally. Instead, the office personnel who was rude previously called me back. To inform me they will give me a 30 day supply of my prescription and will send me a letter to terminate me as a patient to Dr. Ganninger. I will never no if my Doctor ever got the message that I needed to talk to him. Instead I believe the office manager took it upon herself to handle it. A patient who could never refer this Dr. due to his staff.

Dr. G is the real deal! For 15 yrs, he’s taken exceptional care of me and my family. He makes his job look easy w/ his true-blue spirit and superb attention to each individual. He balances both compassion & forthrightness perfectly. He’s always patient, perceptive, & warm. His staff & coworkers love him, which says a lot. This guy is freakishly smart (yet humble) He remembers EVERYTHING you tell him. He’ll make sure you’re contented w/ treatment plans & future goals. He was born to be a doctor!
