Dr. DeHeer operated on my foot for arthritis in January 2022. Now, the placement of the corrective surgery has left my big toe rubbing, actually more like fused, to my next toe. After consulting another podiatrist - which I should have done prior to surgery - I will be wearing a bandaid and gauze to keep my toes seperated for the foreseeable future. I certainly didn't expect that result and I would never recommend Dr. DeHeer to anyone I know.

Do not recommend
We had to wait at least 30 minutes to be seen at every single appt. Never apologized for always running late. So unprofessional. They charge ridiculous fees for things that you can find elsewhere at half the price. And the Dr was more interested in scheduling as many follow ups as possible that were not necessary so our insurance could be billed. Will not go back.

I had a very complicated and rare case similar to Freiburg's Disease in my second metatarsal. He genuinely wanted me to get better and be in less pain - He's been my podiatrist for several surgeries over several years- finally received an interposition arthroplasty and my quality of life has significantly improved! He does seem like a very busy physician, but if I had questions and concerns he definitely spent time listening to me and answering everything. As for the office staff, I liked Eve the best - she was ALWAYS on top of things and so sweet.

Would not recommend. Office appointments typically run 45 minutes to an hour+ behind schedule. Did not receive helpful pre- or post- operative instructions. Patient has to lead the conversation with Doctor to obtain information. Post- surgery boot was sized too small. Due to limited office Hours, could not get a replacement boot for 1 week after procedure.

Frustrated Patient – Aug 04, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Deheer?
Dr. DeHeer always seemed rushed, was not patient to discuss my condition. He gave a diagnosis which a later ortho doctor said was incorrect (the other ortho doctor showed me xrays why it was not correct). I did not find Dr. DeHeer to be professional in his manner and his fees were higher than insurance said I could be billed for. I would give him zero stars if I could. I also found his staff to not be friendly/caring from the start.

Dr. DeHeer was fine. Fees were high for the non surgical, out patient procedure I had done. Took less than 5 minutes total. Amount charged was not what insurance quoted. Their Billing office staff could use a course in tact, phone etiquette, customer service, and professionalism.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Spends no time with you even if you're the only person in the office. Total burnout. Don't waste your time or money on this fraud.

Spends very little time with you. I asked to see the exrays of my foot and he said that he didn't have time. Have had 3 foot surgeries done by him and my condition is worse than before he operated. Each time he told me this surgery will help. Didn't help. Going to a new podiatrist for another surgery on my foot. I was also told he was in my network but he wasn't and I'm left with thousands of dollars of medical bills.
