Dismissive and condescending
I transferred to Dr. Mangu when my previous (much liked, long-term) endocrinologist left for a concierge practice. In my initial appointment with Dr. Mangu she aggressively questioned (and obviously disagreed with) my former physician's management. She wanted tests but couldn't explain why they were needed. She ordered routine bloodwork and said I should NOT contact her for follow-up when the results were available, she would contact me. A full SIX working days after results were available and after I called the health system to request a transfer to another endocrinologist, her office called and said--as expected when I saw the test results--there was a dosage change to my medication.

This doctor is very rude, snobbish and think she is above her patients. My mother went in for her routine diabetic check up, she was very short and did not explain things properly. My mother and I did not feel at ease, we felt like we took time out of this rude doctor’s day when it’s her job as a care taker to do her job properly! We felt so rushed and uncomfortable. If she is in a hurry, why be a doctor? This is someone’s health! She needs to take classes on how to have compassion for her patients. We will be looking for another doctor.

Low Level Care Provider
Dr. Mangu repeatedly proved to be a low level care provider with a severe lack of empathy and personal connection. Additionally, she knew so little about life with diabetes despite being an endocrinologist. If you live with T1D, or any other chronic condition, I would stay far away from Dr. Mangu.

Dr. Mangu has been my endocrinologist for almost 20 years. I have complete trust in her treatment of my diabetes and hypothyroidism. She is personable and attentive during my visits with her and is also very prompt in responding to my questions and concerns via MyChart.

Terrible experience this doctor has no knowledge of the thyroid hormones, I did expressed my frustration with battling itchy skin, bloating, muscle aches, low body temperature, body weight and all the symptoms that I have experienced, she argues with me that those symptoms are not related to the thyroid, and I should consult all other specialists, when I told her that I have been seen by numerous dermatologist, gastrointestist, rheumatologist, etc ;she Is unfriendly and dehumanizing. Wasted time

Not a positive experience. I felt attacked within 2 minutes. She also said negative things about my previous provider. Has arrogant attitude. She insists her way is the only way and everyone else is wrong. She failed to instruct me or monitor me properly after insisting my med dose be changed. I had bad reaction and I had to insist I go back to previous dose. Been fine since, but she still disagrees. Insists I have office every 3 mths to raise her income. Previous dr was once a year. Staff is Ok

I wish there was a lower rating than 1 star because Dr. Mangu deserves just that. Her organization, Office scheduling, Return Calls with information are atrocious to say the least. I am a newly diagnosed diabetic and after being released from a dka week long stay in the high level intensive care unit it took 6 weeks for my first appointment and that was with calling and asking for a sooner apt since I couldn't return to work without a release. Her staff and herself find excuses for simple care

Horrible experience! Worst bedside manner ever. Very cold and arrogant. Important follow-up information was not conveyed about test results. Will not respond back to any e-mails you send her. Will not take responsibility for her actions or lack thereof. Office staff was OK. Will never recommend her to anyone.

She was nice, but not impressed. She looked at my chart and said lose weight. That's it. Considering my hormones are wacky that's been a challenge. She wanted to meet me again in 6 months just to see if I lost weight. Considering I'd have to pay for that, I didn't go back. I need someone with more to offer. So I'm working with alternative medicine.

She listens well and considers info I have researched myself and adds to or clarifies what I may have learned on my own and does it very respectfully without talking down to me. She has been very helpful helping find just the right treatment for my hypothyroidism, taking into consideration how I feel and not just the test results. Great staff and very little wait time!

Terrible patient service, missdiaganosis costing me $900. Should not have had any charge. Office staff nasty, refusing to refill a critical medication.
