Dr. Orville Hendricks, MD

My experience with ?DR. Hendricks has always been great. I have been a patient for in excess of 6 years. I trust his judgement and follow his advise.

I have complained of back pain for years during my annual visits. Dr Hendricks explained to me I had spinal stenosis meaning I was getting old. I had an acute episode with my lower back a few years ago. I was seen & prescribed an Rx that didn’t work. I have gone for physical therapy, MRI’s, multiple injections, chiropractic & decompression. Recently, I had another similar acute issue. After 2 days of it not getting better with ibuprofen & acetaminophen, I called, left a message explaining the situation & asked for something different to help. No callback, just a message in the patient portal telling me to take acetaminophen along with 2 scripts for physical therapy. One for SHOULDER PAIN, and another for CERVICAL. I guess this would have been fine except it was my LOWER BACK that I called about! Also, if I hadn’t already unsuccessfully tried OTC pain medication for 2 days, I wouldn’t have needed to call the Dr. So telling me to take more OTC medicine also was not very helpful.

MY WHOLE FAMILY HAS BEEN WITH DR HENDRICKS FOR OVER 5 YEARS & I COMPLAINED THAT THE STAFF WAS NOT VERY INATTENTIVE AND ALWAYS HAD TO PULL TEETH TO TRY & GET A SICK APPOINTMENT. THE DOCTOR & HIS STAFF ARE RUDE & TAKES HOURS ON END TO RETURN PHONE CALLS. AND THEN I HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED FOR MONTHS FOR ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY & NOW THAT THE SURGERY IS IN 2.5 WEEKS, HE REFUSES TO GIVE ME MEDICAL CLEARANCE STATING IT IS NOT A MEDICAL NECESSITY DESPITE THAT FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN IN EXTREME PAIN & THE LONGER I WAIT MORE DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO MY ROTATOR CUFF. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR OR HIS OFFICE TO MY WORST ENEMY.

Dr. Hendricks was extremely thorough. Also he -listened to my questions and had very helpful suggestions. -reviewed my meds and planned on some updates soon -gave me written instructions and explained these, too I am very, very pleased.

after years with this practice I was throw out of the practice because of a misunderstanding with his nurse . I am due to have 2 surgeries with in a 2 month period now I have to shop for a dr. Would never recommend this doctor
