I was very disappointed with the level of care I received at TOI. My highly needed treatments were delayed for three weeks, due to miscommunication and no communication from the oncology institute’s authorization department; even after my insurance company authorized the requested treatment. It appears the TOI departments have minimal communication with the doctor’s office staff. And it appears the doctors office staff does not communicate well with each other. However, Dr N Parikh is very knowledgeable and caring and deserves a 5 star and The Oncology Institute Corp deserves a 0 star.

Awful Professionalism and Staff
This doctor and his staff are awful. On multiple occasions, they have claimed to have sent in a blood work request to Quest and I went to Quest they had nothing, thus wasting my time and effort. The hold time when you try to call the office is around 30 minutes and you will be lucky if the staff member does not hang up on you when you mention the long wait time (as happened to me today). Paying bills is near impossible. Their online bill pay service is a joke and does not work. They will not accept payment by phone. Because of the incompetence I am reluctant to mail the payment to some shabby payment center in California (that I strongly suspect will lose the payment as would be the normal standard of operation for this doctor's office). The doctor has also threatened to withhold medications arbitrarily. Everything about this doctor and his office is awful.

ADDENDUM to my 9/5/19 Review: Dr. Nutan Parikh, Las Vegas Cancer Center, has two offices -Las Vegas and Henderson. He is brilliant. He ranks 5 Stars in every way - trustworthy, honest, has integrity, explains conditions, and answers all questions. His treatment is designed based on his years of experience treating patients with different types of cancer, and his patients, including me, benefit. George Roose, his Medical Physician Assistant, communicates closely with Dr. Parikh, reviews each file, and expertly, caringly, warmly serves each patient. Desiree and Diane provide excellent administrative support with kindness, efficiency, accuracy, and customer focus. Bayink and Jamie, Chemo RNs, expertly provide one-on-one 100% attention to each patient. They explain the medication and patiently answer all questions. If you have been diagnosed with cancer, please consult with Dr. Parikh. You will be pleased with the outcome.

Dr. Parikh, all I've bee trying to do the last one month has been to get an appointment to consult with you, but the process has felt like pulling teeth. It's so hard to find someone who will confirm if your office has received the referrals from my doctor. At this point I'm just about giving up and finding another doctor. It's just so unprofessional what your staff has put me through knowing the anxiety I'm going through.

Thank you Dr. Parikh for playing such a huge part in saving my life. I am now blessed to say that I am still cancer free, and just had my 6th clean routine and 3D mammography, which I have done every January since you treated me in 2012. I live in Michigan now, but just wanted to say thank you again. Sincerely Carol Tremel
