Cystoscopy experience
Dr. Nakib was friendly, competent and thorough. Emily who assisted was warm, kind and competent. I am always impressed with staff at my medical appointments at Fairview U of M. They made this procedure a good as it could be.

Skilled But Dismissive
Saw Dr. Nakib for cystoscopy. Performed in a skilled and professional manner; minimal discomfort, completed quickly. Preparation, regard for my input lacking. Clearly had not reviewed my chart: noted I was there for symptoms that, according to preliminary visit notes, I had not experienced, and documented in her summary that I hadn't completed imaging that I actually did. Recommended a treatment before even starting the procedure. Asked if I drank soda; when I said I didn't, continued to explain that soda "or even those crystal ice drinks" could cause irritation that would lead to my symptoms. To be fair to Dr. Nakib, this may be the culture at M Health Fairview; I've had similar experiences with other Fairview providers. Would recommend Dr. Nakib if you need a urology procedure done well AND your concerns are straightforward/you're comfortable advocating for yourself. Wouldn't recommend Dr. Nakib or Fairview if it's important your provider review your chart, listen to you.

I felt that Dr. Nakib knew what she was talking about and although she had to refer me to another Urologist, I was happy she tried to to help me. I have a very complicated medical history.
