Good doctor, bad wait time!
He seems to be a great doctor so far (very smart, thorough), but like others have mentioned, the wait time was atrocious. I waited an hour past my appointment before seeing him; the office needs to sort that out because that is a mess.

  • Appointment wasn't rushed
  • Trusted the provider's decisions

Wasn't really concerned
Never have had an EKG in severals years by Dr. X. Doesn't seem very concerned about my CHF. Asks a few questions. Spends more time inputing his examination report into his computer, while l sit and wait, on my time. I don't find him very caring and a bit condescending. I've had one echo on my heart in several years. Also, l live 30 miles away, traffic bad, was sent home when l got there on one occasion. That really irrated me because l drove total of 60 miles. I was told to leave & go home...10 minutes late.Scheduling an appointment is next to impossible and l always wait at least an hour or more to see him. Disappointed but l don't know what other Cardiologists have experience. I feel so neglected, like my life isn't important.

Very well taken care of by Dr. X...very caring, professional and made me feel relaxed when I had two stents put into my arteries. He was very compassionate, concerned for my well being. I wouldn't go any where else. He was fantastic. In short, he saved my life.

WORST PATIENT CARE !!
"STAY AWAY FROM HERE" is absolutely the worst patient care I have ever received from a physician's office. Patients are not a priority and they do not take your concerns seriously. You can call their office and leave messages and no one will return your call. Nurses hang up on you for no reason. Been a patient for two months and had to even ask for my own test to be scheduled and then no results were given to me even though my symptoms were worse. I would not recommend this practice to ANYONE. Don't even bother talking to the office manager if you have concerns. You will get nowhere. Please do yourself a favor and find you practice that will take the time to listen to your concerns and give you the care you deserve. The heart is not something to mess around with and you want a doctor who will be proactive with your care!

Waited almost an hour before called back to the exam room. Dr. Xenopoulos was condescending in tone. I felt like he was "checking the box" during my evaluation. No concerns with him clinically but will not return to him.

He has saved my husband’s life twice. Several friends in the medical field highly recommended Dr. X for my husband, and we are forever thankful! He is VERY patient oriented, kind, extremely knowledgeable and skilled. When we have had a longer wait than we would like, we know it is because he is likely saving someone else’s life. He is the best!!

You will enjoy his thoroughness and concern for your medical problems other than just his specialty. Wish he did more than just cardiology I could sure use a neurologist as concerned for my health as he.

I have seen Dr Xenopoulos once a year at the Decatur office. He seems to be very professional with a very quiet sense of humor. The Decatur office seems to be over-scheduled as I often wait over an hour to see him.

Dr. Xenopoulos care saved my physical and mental well-being more than once. His rapid assessment, diagnosis and careplan resolved my issues. His mannerisms were gentle, his direction firm, and his caring mannerisms a necessity. He helped calm me and directed my care with precision.

We met Dr Xenopoulos when my father had a heart attack and was flown from a small hospital in Jellico to Park West. He was wonderful to my Dad and to our family. Very, very calm and reassuring. Daddy is alive now because of him. The follow-up care in his office was great too.

After falling through the cracks with another cardiologist, I switched over to Dr. Xenopoulos and I've been extremely impressed with him. He's excellent technically as well as interpersonally, based on my experience having a heart cath performed by him and several appointments surrounding my resulting heart surgery. I recommend him without reservation. He's compassionate, caring and after putting my life into his hands, I can honestly say he's the best in town.
