Dr. Niaz Mohammad, MD

Dr Mohammad worked with my mother when she lived in Michigan. She now lives in CA in Assisted Living. Now that I deal with my mother and her issues on a regular basis I see how difficult she is to convince of anything, and therefore to help. She has very very poor insight into her condition. At the time I did not fully appreciation how unreceptive my mother is to treatment and how unwilling or unable she is to see her problems. I have a new appreciation for Dr Mohammad now, and can see he did all he, or anyone, could to help her. Dr Mohammad was a nice man, communicative with me, and I can see now that he did a good job and the best anyone could do. I definitely recommend Dr Mohammad and would give him a shot. He is approachable, knowledgeable and very well educated in his field. I have been meaning to write this review for a long time and have felt a bit guilty that I didn't appreciate him more back then.

Dr. Mohammad is a very skilled, compassionate and friendly psychiatrist. I live in Indiana and travel an hour to Kalamazoo for appointments because he is “that good!”

As a mental health professional myself, I have been very impressed with Dr. Mohammad’s expertise and empathy for his patients. He has the greatest understanding of pharmacology in general, and psychopharmacology specifically, of any psychiatrist whom my family has seen in over 50 years, or whom I have worked with on a professional level. His kindness and understanding of his patients’ struggles is unsurpassed.

For depression and medication management. Dr Mohammed always listens and is interested and compassionate. He’s also observant.

The most caring of my medical providers. He listens to me and allows me to be part of my treatment process. I highly recommend this provider. While he does not always agree with me, he is always compassionate.

My experience with Dr. Mohammad is just ok. He was very through with his intake evaluation but I didn't feel like he listened to my concerns. I decided not to return.
