Treats patients like suspects
Saw her because my primary was out of town. She was rude and dismissive. Questioned me as if I was lying or wasting her time. Left appointment crying. Wish I would have read other reviews before I saw her.

Professional and understanding;
Dr. Ravi has a conservative practice style. She understands older patients and is not too quick to treat. I prefer her personality to other, more impersonal physicians.

Worst doctor so rude and insensitive, didn’t listen to my concerns. Worst experience ever. She should be fired.

Don’t waste your tears
I saw Dr. Ravi as my assigned PCP by CHP, and at my first comprehensive exam with her, she was rude about my weight and discounted my belief that I was suffering from a gastrointestinal issue. She reluctantly ordered blood work but told me she would not refer me to a specialist if it came back normal. After such a bad experience, I received GI care out of state (I did have an issue) and waited over a year to return to Ravi’s office in a time of desperate need suffering from serious headaches. I alluded to my work on computer screens as a possible contributor to the issue but never stated it as the cause. I was then denied care by Dr. Ravi because I was a “workers comp” case without any examination of my symptoms or understanding of a possible cause. I regret giving her a second chance because clearly she has no problem disregarding her patients’ feelings. I left her office in tears and without receiving care. I will not be returning.

Like others I left crying
I went to an intake visit today with Dr. Ravi and she immediately inquired about the recent change in my birth control - I told her the reasoning (from my OB). I told her I had only been on it three weeks, and she said, you say you've only been on it three weeks but you've gained weight. Are you aware of that? I looked at her dumbfounded. The weight she was referencing was from over two years ago. Thanksgiving was only a few days ago. I weighed 3 pounds more than I have for the past 1.5 years - so I said no??? And she said well I just like to let people know not to let it get away from them. I looked at her and told her I ran a marathon last month, lift weights 3-4 times a week and am highly active. She didn't ask me anything of relevance. Just immediately got on my weight which is not a good indicator of health. I am 5'6 and weigh 145 lbs. As someone who struggles with an eating disorder the 7 minutes I spent with Dr. Ravi is more harmful than any amount of weight I could have gained.

One of those doctors that you tell something is wrong. They look and say it looks fine. Also charged me for a physical that should have been covered. I’m mad I have to pay when she didn’t even check the issue I mentioned. Never again

Rude, not compassionate and does NOT listen.
No compassion, very rude, does NOT listen. She forms her " diagnosis and plan" before ever examing you.

My physical today was very thorough & Dr Ravi professional & pleasant. She answered all my questions & discussed treatment options re health concerns. I switched to Dr Ravi in March after my long-time doctor retired. Neither Dr Ravi nor any of her staff have ever been rude so I’m perplexed by some of the other reviews.

I agree with what the other patients are saying about Dr. Ravi. She is very rude and don’t really care about your feelings. I went in for physical and and she told me to follow her fingers with my eyes and touch my nose. She started to get aggravated and said I was doing it all wrong! She started talking to me like I was stupid. I was so ready to walk out and report that lady. I should have listen to my husband and changed doctors when he did. My husband told me she was rude and doesn’t listen. I wanted give her a chance but I realize my husband was right.

Changed to this Dr because of a bad experience with another CHP Dr. She was worse than the other one. She was rude, non compassionate, and basically told me she could do what she wanted in regards to my health care. She gave me zero of the prescriptions I went to get. And I had to wait 45 mins for her to come in the room. Absolutely the worst experience of my life. I left in tears. How can a Dr be so nasty?!?

Went to Dr. Ravi for my new patient visit today as she was who my insurance selected for me when I moved to Tallahassee. She told me I was overweight for my height - I'm 5'4" and weigh 145 currently - and then gave me different diet regimens and told me to stop eating late-night meals - which I don't do and never told her I did do. Then, she asked why I was on birth control and I told her for acne initially and before I could explain further, she told me that it clearly was not working and so I should stop taking it. I left the office crying and hating myself. I work in sales...I can handle rejection pretty easily. This was just a whole different level of mean. Will more than likely never go back unless I absolutely have to.

Dr Ravi requires me to go into her office every three months for refills on blood pressure meds. It’s a real hassle to rearrange my schedule just to check my blood pressure numbers when I do that at home. Today she wouldn’t check my sore throat while I was in the office because that was not what I was being seen for. She told me to go to Urgent Care for my throat. What is a PCP for? Dr Ravi is rude and abrasive. This lady has issues and she needs to work on her people skills.

I had to schedule an appointment with urgent care today to address chest congestion and a peristent cough that disrupted my sleep. I described my symptoms to the nurse (who was lovely) and relayed the same information to Dr. Ravi. I mentioned in the past a (non-narcotic) prescription cough suppressant was helpful when I had chest congestion that disrupted sleep. It was my impression that Dr. Ravi was pushing more holistic approaches and treatments I've already tried. No recommendation from me!

Negative experience with Dr. Ravi in Tallahassee, FL – Sep 29, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ravi?
I was assigned Dr. Ravi when my other primary care doc moved away. Both times I have been to see her she was insensitive about my issues. This time I really needed help and she told me to go back to urgent care because she doesn’t do what I needed done. They didn’t offer to help me bandage the area and gave me a tiny bandaid and a wad of gauze as they walked out the door. I cried all the way home. How can a doctor and a nurse do nothing for me but waste my time? At lease the nurse was nice

Finding another doctor in Tallahassee, FL – Jul 24, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Ravi?
She seemed nice during my initial visit with her. Her attitude began to show during my next visit. She struggled to perform my pap correctly for almost 10 minutes. After my last visit with her, I will not return. She was very rude and insensitive. She cut me off while I attempted to speak to her. She rushed my visit then went into the room next to me laughing with the next patient. I'm very disappointed in the care, and lack thereof, I received.

Dr. Ravi is a wonderful primary care physician! I, like one of the other reviewer here, do a lot of research and Dr. Ravi has always appreciated my knowledge and worked with me on health issues. I suspect the other reviewer started quoting WebMD or something like it rather than quality research and information from places like JAMA and other peer reviewed sources. There is a big difference in being knowledgeable and being a know-it-all. I have recommended Dr. Ravi to all of my friends.

Doctor Ravi is a great doctor . Unlike many doctors I have had she actually seems to care and doesn't mind going the extra mile in my search for what's causing my chronic illness. I hope she reads this and that it motivates her to continue to be the great companionate and very intelligent doctor she is!
