I have had 5 surgeries on my spine by 5 different surgeons. I chose Dr McKay for my most recent surgery. It was the most complicated of all my surgeries due to scar tissue, degenerative changes as well as damage from an MVA. Everything went smoothly. She is kind, compassionate and very competent. Spine surgery is never a good thing, that being said I am grateful to Dr. McKay and her team.

After 7weeks of intense pain and all other Dr’s only offering meds, Dr. McKay got me in right away! After her 1hr discectomy I walked out on my own needing nothing more than ibuprofen. Of course I was scared of surgery and her personability was lacking...but her skills are unquestionable! It’s been 5 weeks and I feel great.

before giving a bad review I mean that I will not be the only person who stops her in her hands but it must be said from the beginning I have many doubts about the service if it would be good or not since I only saw her in the day of the from that moment my life changed more pain more damage to my back even to her knowing the problem I said nothing else can do trusting her and my life is out of control since she does not want to fix everything but wait for me to get worse or paralytic ..

I just had anterior lumbar interbody fusion surgery with Dr. McKay a few days ago. I have been blown away by her kindness, knowledge, experience, skill-set, honesty, and the overall compassion that she has shown toward me and my situation. She answers all questions promptly, and always in a very calming, understandable manner. She, and her staff, are wonderful, and I would highly recommend meeting with her for your spinal issues.

I have undergone three back surgeries with Dr. McKay, two minor and one major. I always felt that she did a good job explaining the circumstances to me and had good bedside manner before and after my operations.

I would not go to Dr. McKay again. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. She was short and condescending. I live with back pain mostly all the time and went to her for advice, possible new treatments, etc. She treated me like I was an unimportant part of her day.

I understood the long wait time due to Dr Comey(very good Dr)leaving the practice. After 2 appts due to long wait time, I finally saw Dr McKay. She spend ~5 minutes with me, she was certain I had no issue. I'm still baffled by how she determined this, when I never took my coat off, nor did she examine me, just my notes from 10 months ago from my past surgery. I expressed that I feel I may have another problem, she said "unlikely" and that was my experience with Dr McKay. I go to boston now.
