I liked Dr. Gupta, but unfortunately will need to find another PCP because my experience with the office staff was horrible. I scheduled a visit, and to my understanding, my insurance covers one doctor's office visit per year. I asked multiple times if my insurance would fully covered my visit, and multiple times they told me yes, it would be 100% covered. Had they clearly explained to me beforehand that my insurance will cover a yearly "physical exam" and not just any appointment, I would have had full knowledge and consent that this appointment would not be free. You can imagine how it felt it get a bill for $300 after the front office staff assured you multiple times that the visit would be fully covered. It was then made known to me that an issue visit was clearly not a yearly physical, and obviously there is a clear difference between the two visits and I should have known better. This was a very stressful experience for me, but I learned a lot about how doctors offices and insurance companies really don't care about you, and that's a valuable life lesson to learn. I only wish the front office staff had enough competence and compassion to clearly explain this to me upfront instead of giving me false promises, it would have saved me a horrible experience and $300.
