Horrible - Avoid, Avoid, Avoid
Horrible - The worst doctor I've ever seen. Dr. Kaye overcharges for his visit, inflates the billing codes, and refuses to issue a refund to the agreed upon insurance rates. He constantly runs up to an hour late, and honestly has horrible bedside manner is just comes off as an uncaring medical professional.

Worse doctor I ever encountered
Went in for urolift. He didn't use anesthesia. The clips installed came out. I bleed for 2 weeks. I was eventually hospitalized. Because I was bleeding so bad, I returned the day after the procedure to do something. He didn't even have the courtesy to say something to me. His nurses took care of the problem. He has no personality. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM FOR ANY PROCEDURE.

Absolutely Abysmal and adolescent
Where to begin? Let's see....The two months it took to get an appt. because the front desk staff can't seem to find the 10000 faxed referrals my PC sent over. I was brought in for a 9 am appt and after an hour of paperwork, who charges extra out of pocket for a surgical assistant?, and finally 'saw' the doctor at 10:15 am. Patients in lobby complained of rude staff, check, wastes time, check, has rotten attitudes, check. I was made to give a urine sample before I even entered the room, and once I did enter the room, I was thrust onto the highest bed I have ever seen and given an ultrasound with no interaction from the MA other than telling me to get onto the bed. I had to ask partway through what was even going on. When she was done that was it, she was done, no thank you, no have a nice day. Now we meet the doctor. I introduce myself and attempt to address the issue about scheduling at which point he bit my head off and told me he doesn't manage the front office. There is more..

Good doctor terrible front desk staff
Dr. Kaye is as professional as you would like a doctor to be. BUT his front office staff are terrible, insensitive, and untruthful. I will not go back to his office because of the way the ladies in the reception area treated me and lied to me.

Amazing Experience
Walked in without an appointment. After they verified insurance coverage and I completed paperwork I was able to be seen! The wait wasn’t more than 30 minutes which wasn’t bad considering I just walked in. Front desk was friendly and efficient. I found Dr Kaye professional and knowledgeable. Dr Kaye jumped in and got involved in my care immediately setting a plan in motion. He listened when other doctors didn’t. The imaging he ordered was scheduled before I left the office. Very happy with my experience .

BPH surgical treatment options
After tolerating BPH for several years trying to manage my condition with medication, I found Dr. Kaye through a referral. My first appointment with Dr. Kaye, he spent about 30 minutes with me discussing BPH, the pathophysiology of the condition and the various surgical treatment options. I opted for the Greenlight Laser treatment procedure. I had the surgery done on 7/28/22 with excellent life changing results. I found Dr. Kaye and his entire staff to be congenial and very caring. Great experience !

I should have trusted my instinct and went with the other reviews but I was in so much pain I didn't! I regret my decision. It took multiple phone calls to get my first surgery even scheduled and I to walk in the office double over in pain for that to happen. Second of all the second sx to again multiple attempts to get scheduled, at the last minute I received pre-op odreders that were never given to me. NOW I have to submit proof that I have paid them because they show no record of it. Keep in mind I work in health care and this blows my mind!! I have scheduled surgeries and have never put a patient through what they have put me through. Good luck getting a call back. Takes multiple attempts. If you don't have human kindness you shouldn't be in health care. Staff and Dr.s are a dime a dozen. Please take my advise and go elsewhere!!

Staff enjoys being unhelpful.
Called to make a first time initial visit. The staff put me on hold 5 different times. Each time they came back on the line they spoke to me as if I had just called. I was on hold for 40 minutes for nothing. Total waste of time.

The doctor is proficient medically, but dealing with both him and his staff is a truly awful experience. They are rude, difficult to work with, and unprofessional. I do not enjoy changing specialists, as it is generally a hassle, but dealing with Dr Kaye and his staff was so unpleasant that it was completely worth it.

I saw dr. Kaye for an acute/emergency kidney stone issue. He’s a Georgetown grad - more important, Cleveland clinic intern, resident, and chief resident. The translation of that is he is very very good at his trade. Yes, he’s busy, and doesn’t have time for idle chat, but is available (and called me at home to follow up) to answer questions. Highly recommend.

For 15 years I put up with the debilitating effects of BPH. Eventually, I saw Dr. Mitchell Kaye because my brother Jim said: "You should see Dr. Kaye; he saved my life"--meaning his quality of life. But before I decided to follow Jim's advice, I did some research on the Rezum procedure and decided to try it. In my case, that was a mistake. Four days after the Rezum procedure, I ended up in the ER and spent two days in the hospital. In brief, Rezum never helped me over the course of the next year and a half. So, finally, at 75 years old, I went to see Dr. Kaye. He carefully analyzed my case and said he could help me with the Urolift procedure, which I had on Nov. 24, 2020. Ten days later the expected side effects of some bleeding and a burning sensation when urinating were gone, and I felt great. (The expected recovery period is two to 4 weeks.) As I expressed to Dr. Kaye when I saw him for the follow-up, "It's not like I'm 21 again," but my quality of life just took a great leap

We recently moved to the valley and a co-worker recommended Dr. Kaye for my husband. We were very pleased with his first appointment with him. He listened to our concerns and together we came up with a treatment plan that we were both comfortable with. He is very knowledgeable.

I’ve been seeing Dr Kaye for over a decade about prostate issues. I don’t think I could find locally a urologist with his level of experience. That said, my “green laser TURP” surgery, touted to be the most advanced procedure for BPH, was a miserable, long recovery, with no improvement, not anything like the six weeks claimed by Boston Scientific. I was still passing surgery scabs at 20 weeks. Now after six months I am definitely worse off than before the procedure. I don’t want to go back. Don’t want a do-over. I’ll live with what it is until I can’t.
