A great Dr both at his clinic and dialysis visits. He is very easy going but an excellent evaluator as a physician. He knows and understands patient history and answers all questions. A very pleasant, professional physician who pays attention to his patients in a casual, pleasant manner.

As a health care provider myself, I’m very aware of the importance of the patient’s experience. Also, I have had multiple encounters with health care providers as a patient in the past few years. So I can say with some authority that none come close to the experience with Dr Hawkey and with his staff. I’ve talked about this comfortable, friendly, and reassuring experience with my own staff and tried to emulate that experience for my own patients. Great job and much appreciated!

Dr. Hawkey always takes the time to explain test results and treatment recommendations in a way anyone can understand and is able to convey that your care is important to him. While he is very professional he is able to make you comfortable being there. Has an outstanding bedside manner. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

From the moment you first meet Dr Hawkey he makes you feel like a friend that has known you for years. He personally greets you at every visit, listens attentatively to your every issue and question, explains thourghly and right to the point, disccusses options and clearly lays out a game plan, and personally follows up. I have gone to a lot of doctors in my 74 years, and Dr Hawkey is easily one of my top three.

I have had two appointments with him to determine whether or not I have kidney problems, other than stones. Short answer - no. But he was extremely thorough with the blood and urine tests he scheduled and leaves no doubt in my mind that "all is well" when he says so. He has a great "bedside" manner and made me feel at home from the beginning. If anyone has a need to visit a renal doctor Mitch will be on the top of my list as a recommendation.

I have been seeing Dr. Hawkey for 12 years. I don't like seeing doctors and normally get nervous. I don't have that feeling with Dr. Hawkey. He is very personable, open to suggestions and answers questions using terms I can understand. I highly recommend Dr. Hawkey and happy he continues to be my doctor. Couldn't ask for a better physician.
