I’ve been seeing DR. Prongdong for a few years. He is one of the best doctors I have ever had. He is very, very thorough. He does very thorough blood work for everything, not just kidney function. He returns your call even on a Sunday, with lab reports, and any information you need to know. I feel he does a better job with my health than my own family doctor.

Dr Prongdong is very nice, however a little hard to understand. He remembers my situation and genuinely cares. His RN is super nice too.
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because when I left last time, I told the front office I was in a hurry to get back to work and didn't have time for a survey. She then asked me again to rate Dr Prongdong out loud, in front of all the staff, MDs and other patients. I did NOT like being put on the spot! It felt like a trick to get a good rating. Yuck.

very nice Dr. Explains things in a way we understood. Only one thing- my mom (92 yrs old) said she sometimes wished he spoke a little louder. But definitely comfortable with him.

I really like Dr. Prongdong's manner. Not too busy to make sure patient feels comfortable and is not ignored. Tries hard to connect to the patient even though they are not very responsive.
Always ready to answer questions and gives understandable answers.
Very refreshing to have a doctor who actually seems to care.

I am seeing the doctor through the Portland VA. I have only seen him one time, so I do not feel I know him well enough to rate him. For a first appointment I guess everything went well. He answered our questions and was friendly and knowledgeable, without "talking down" to us.
