Been with this practice for many years. My doctor was excellent as was her medical assistant! Their care was wonderful. The medical assistant was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The doctor was great, as I knew she would be. This was my second time for surgery with her! She explained everything she was going to do, including what to expect afterwards. Her medical assistant went over the sheet with me and once again asked if I had any questions. Expect the best from Forefront Dermatology and Surgery! As a side note, their Nurse Practitioner on the dermatology side is the very best. I have seen her every year since the very beginning. I have numerous issues and she spots them every single year!

Dr. Mesfin and Elisia were great. I had a similar procedure performed by Dr. Mesfin 5 years ago. I did not hesitate to return for my new basil cell removal. Dr. Mesfin and Elisa took their time throughout the procedure to insure I understood what was happening and that I was comfortable. They are both very knowledgeable, thorough and patient. I felt well cared for by Dr Mesfin who did Mohs Surgery for me. She was very considerate and concerned for my comfort level. She kept me informed throughout the procedure as well.

I’ve had two Mohs surgery procedures with Dr. Mesfin. As best I can tell, the skin cancer removal was successful, but the skin healing post surgery/procedure were both less than desirable. The first at the top of my forehead has left a divot or hole scar just below the hair line that has not healed in two years. The second from January 2023 has left an unsightly scar, approximately an inch long, on my cheek. Thankful for removing the cancer but now I live with unsightly scarring. For me, I think it’s time to find a new dermatologist office.

Being in the same room for all procedures was a real plus

Dr Mesfin and her staff have created a calming professional atmosphere. I felt that each staff member was genuinely concerned about my care.

Had Mohs surgery on my scalp most recently but have had several other types of skin surgery by Dr Mesfin. I think she is terrific. She is an excellent doctor and surgeon and she is a kind person who explains things so well.

The staff is wonderful!

I was referred to Dr. Mesfin after the biopsy of a basal cell carcinoma at the Forefront Dermatology office in Fairfax. Dr. Mesfin, as well as her supporting staff members, communicated clearly with me regarding my Mohs procedure and encouraged me to ask questions. They were professional and supportive throughout my entire visit and made me feel comfortable with their work. The procedure was as painless as possible and I received a call from the office the next day to make sure that I was doing well. I highly recommend Dr. Mesfin and the Tysons office of Forefront Dermatology.
