Little concern for patient's time
Waste of time! There seems to be little concerns for patients in this office. I had to wait for 3 weeks for an appointment to see a PA. And then I had to wait for 30 minutes in the examination room without any updates on how long further it will take. I left after 30 minutes. When I informed the front desk that I am leaving since I had waited too long, they simply said 'OK'!!

Too fast
Went in to get a spot checked on my hand, waited over an hour to be seen for 30 seconds, left with pamphlets about some out of locked wrinkle treatment. And his office never send the prescription for the spot on my hand which is what I went in for in the first place. I felt like an inconvenience, won’t be going back.

Very Unprofessional
Saw Nurse and Physicians assistant. I found an in network Doctor, why do they use an Out of Network Lab to send biopsy? They need to inform patients of their ignorance.

Atrocious
I left Dr. Sebastien's office furious, not because of the 25-minute wait in an examining room but the 5 minutes spent examining me. What angered me mostly was his atrocious demeanor. He's cold, unfeeling and in my opinion, is in the wrong line of work. He spoke very quickly, barely interacted with me and didn't explain anything. I had to ask the nurse afterwards to answer my questions. I would never recommend this doctor.

Too fast
He seems to be always in a hurry. I usually have a PA and they are much more thorough when doing the body check-up. Luckily I have not experienced any serious issues and perhaps Dr Sebastien has an excellent reputation in that situation.

Who could ask for more?
Yesterday I returned to Dermatology of Virginia a week after my annual examination to get a mole with melanoma removed. Doctor Theodore Sebastian did the surgery and Sarah Donovan did the closing stitches. What I liked about Ted Sebastian was his complete explanation of what he was going to do and why. The surgery went extremely well and without any discomfort. I think that Dr. Sebastian is all that you can ask for in a Dermatologist and Sarah Donovan as a skilled P.A. handles yearly exams cheerfully and expertly. A follow-up phone call from Samantha to see how I was doing the day after the procedure, was icing o the cake.

I had a lot of fun in the sun while growing up, before I knew much about the damage it could cause (I'm 66). Later, I went to Dr. Sebastien for routine skin checks for many years before a biopsy identified skin cancer. I selected him because of Washingtonian Top Doc ratings. He also comes across to me as extremely knowledgeable and competent -- I trust him with my life. My 1st Mohs surgery went well and we chatted through it. The whole team was very caring and thoughtful. The incision is healing beautifully with less scarring that I thought possible. I will continue going in every 6 months -- Mohs surgery has a very high success rate (up to 99%) -- catching skin cancer early is key! If you've had too much fun in the sun, find a doc you can trust and be proactive. Dr. Sebastien and his team have been a great choice for me.

I had two Mohs surgeries with Dr. Sebastian. One 21 years ago and the other a week ago. His expert technique gives you 99% reassurance that you are cancer free. He and his staff are kind, understanding and very reassuring with each step. Dr Sebastian is “famous” for the Mohs surgery and he is my one and only “stop” as I address skin cancer and removal with certainty. Trust your health to his care! I thank Dr. Sebastian and his team a million times over for my healthy future.

Went in for a screening of my moles for cancer. Quick check. All ok. Then he told me I’m loosing my hair and asked me if I’m ok with that. I said no. He then said I should get my blood drawn, use rogaine, he’d give me other meds too. Then I visit with him several times and insurance won’t cover so that’s $200 each. The. He will take my blood, stir it around and shoot it back in my head and in 6 months I will have thicker hair. 4 visits there, $1600 each. All this was in 5 minutes. My head was spinning. Wait - can we go back to my moles. And how come you are going bald. Do you use this? Then when his nurse gave me the wrong form for blood draw, he ripped her one. No thanks. My hair is just fine.

First let me say Sarah Donovan, PA is awesome. Probably the only reason I was willing to go back visit two. Visit one I was told it would all be covered by my insurance since I was in network, somehow I ended up paying almost $200 out of pocket 2 weeks later. Still no explanation on that. When I reached the point of frustration I demanded my medical records as I informed them I would be leaving their practice before having a mole removed. The front desk refuse to do so. So I decided to suck i

This guy was great. I went in for a general checkup and not only did he give a thorough exam, but was more than willing to answer all my questions. Excellent communicator and great bedside manner. The office staff was helpful and efficient. Seriously, this was one of the best physician office visits I've ever had. Highly recommend.

I went to see Dr. Sebastien at the end of 2015, and this man gave me only 5 minutes of his time after waiting to be seen by him for over 25 minutes. I was very disappointed in the visit because I felt as if he could care less about my concerns. He shined a light on my head, lifted my shirt to view my back and recommended men's Rogaine (by the way I'm a female). My insurance company denied my claim because his office/staff submitted paperwork stating I did not have a referral, which was false!

I went in for a skin cancer check, it took less than 5 minutes. In other words, if you have legit concerns, go elsewhere, no thorough. Also a side note, I'm pretty sure there was no handwashing going on in between patients. The speed at which he was going from room to room, made it pretty impossible. As a provider myself, that's all it really takes to choose not to return. On a positive, he was fairly friendly and seemed knowledgeable.
