Dr. Miguel Rivera, MD

As others have mentioned in their reviews, Dr Rivera is a wonderful doctor, he takes the time to talk to you and explain his conclusions. He listens and does not rush in and out to hurry to the next patient. His staff, however, well - they need to be banned from working in a medical office. I waited 2 MONTHS for the staff to follow up with my insurer for a Prior Authorization...and it still isn't done. I have called, e-mailed, been told 'we're busy' or 'someone will call you back' or 'we'll get that handled right away.' ALL LIES. How is a physician's treatment plan supposed to be carried out if the office staff stands in the way of the treatment? How can the staff justify MONTHS of (if ever!) getting to a request, especially when it means they're withholding prescribed medication?

for reschedule?? So I said, 'OK, reschedule,' but I will never revisit this office. There was bad customer service, and the ignorant staff decided what was good or not for you. RESCHEDULE WITHOUT THIS LATIN DOCTOR KNOWING IT. That tells me all, stay away from this place at all costs! There are 1000 other ENT professionals and ethical doctors I rather talk to and make an appointment.

He takes his time to talk to you, I don't feel rushed. His staff is very sweet. I only wish he would take my new insurance. lol

Dr. Rivera is an amazing doctor. He takes his time with you, answers all of your questions, and listens to what you have to say. HOWEVER, his staff is unfriendly and unreliable. They have the attitude that hey would rather be somewhere else. Also, trying to get a prescription refilled by calling the office is a waste of time. They do not follow through or follow up or even return phone calls. I have diabetes and called days in advance to get a refill and it never happened, so I ended up running out of it and had to do without it for four days simply because no one at the office CARED enough to make a phone call.

My visits has always been great he listen and take time.with you when it's your turn that personal care is missing from a lot of doctors these days .Caring about patients needs to come back. He's excellent.

Awful staff response. Always and for years. Not efficient. Does not return calls ever. Veronica the nurse never will call and good luck hearing back from the Doctor himself. Ever. As someone said in another review it can be fatal. I believe that. Just the worst.

1.5 hour wait for appt

Dr. Rivera is one of the few doctors I have seen over the years who will actually LISTEN. He never rushes anyone out and will stay with you as long as you have questions. He is kind and down to earth. I couldn't have found a better doctor!

Very long wait to get an appointment, another long wait once you arrive for your scheduled appointment, not very thorough (never checks feet of diabetic patients), his nurse (Veronica) never returns phone calls to patients or authorizes refills of prescriptions which can be fatal. If you have a serious medical condition, do not rely on Dr Rivera or his staff.

Dr. Rivera, has not only helped me. He has also help my sister n law and my daughter.

Dr. Rivera is a good doctor. However, his front office staff is the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I have been trying to get my medication adjusted for over 3 weeks now. I am showing signs of complications. I am put on hold for over 15 minutes. I've been hung up on several times. I can't get a return call from the the nurse or doctor. I doubt they are getting my messages. I've tried to schedule an appointment and the earliest they will schedule me is for a month in a half.
