Sciatic Injection was PAINLESS & 100% effective!
I had one sciatic injection 30 years ago and THAT doctor was like a MONSTER!20 yrs later, I was told Dr. Sevenson was GREAT, jovial, kind, and caused NO PAIN!I I I had a new MRI showing my condition was much worse. My sciatic pain made me unable to walk across the street without tears. So physician assistant said I needed to schedule w PAIN MANAGEMENTGOT INTO DR.SEVERSON!Took 6-8 weeks, but HE WAS SO amazing, the treatment was painless! When I left he said “When the pain starts up again, call right away because it will take a month or 2 to get in.”I had 5 months of no pain. Then it started! When I called, the person who schedules said I needed to start over with NEW referral! I REPEATED that now, I did NOT NEED A REFERRAL, Just needed to get On SEVERSON’s schedule! The person that schedules said “Dr. SEVERSON probably does not know how we schedule!”I only have an NP, So the scheduler said she would get me referred to a doctor ! I see him in 2 weeks she can refer: WASTED TIME!

Rude, Hateful, Awful
He was dismissive, argumentative, and unwilling to work with other people on my treatment team. He was hurtful and hateful.

The front desk for Dr Severson is awful. The person I spoke with treated me like she was taking pleasure at every opportunity to say "no". Through no fault of our own, our referral was closed out almost as quickly as they received it. The scheduler thought is was referred by a family doctor - when I pointed out it was an orthopedic Dr. - she said she'd have to research it before she could send it to insurance. She and I had spoken about this referral earlier in the week and in last 6 months we have used Dr Severson several times, for the exact same procedure. The gal couldn't (or it felt like, wouldn't) put in the referral to the insurance company or set up an appointment. It didn't make sense and it felt as if she was doing everything she could to find a way to say "I don't want help you". This kind of treatment, no matter the circumstances, could have been handled differently and left us feeling like this Dr's office has a burned-out employee that takes pleasure in condescension.

Dr Severson was personable and extremely professional. I was asked several times if I had questions about the procedure. The doctor guided me through every step and the procedure was completely painless. I have read the negative reviews and do not understand them.

I had treatment with Dr. Severson for bursitis in both hips/legs. I am a Senior Citizen and have not experienced this kind of treatment. Dr. Severson's nurses were very thorough with asking questions and getting the information necessary for the Dr. to perform the treatment. By the time I got to the room for the procedure the Dr. Severson had already studied the computer notes and after asking me a few questions he started the procedure.....asking questions and making sure that I was comfortable. I would say that it was a painless, successful day for me. I would not hesitate to go back to Dr. Severson if I needed to.

He showed little interest in me and found ways to push me out of his office as fast as possible. Made it quite apparent I was not a priority, but a chore. Showed no passion for his work or my care. Terrible bed side manner. Overall poor physician and even worse professional.

Dr. Severson acted like everything was 'OUR' problem. He also asked how we were able to get to see if him if a family practice physician didn't refer us. I wanted to tell him that he just read, from my wife's chart, that Dr. Little had referred us; but I figured he had checked out anyway, and wouldn't realize he is error. I wholeheartedly feel that, if you have other options, to exercise those before going to Dr. Severson.

I had a spine injection by Dr Severson today and he was outstanding. Was considerate and talked to me when ever he was going to do something, he continually asked me if I had any pain or and if I said yes, he asked me where or how much. He answered all my questions and had a great bed side manner. I was very pleased with the entire experience. He and the entire staff were professional and thoughtful in making sure I was comfortable.

Dont ever go to doctor severson. My mom is is terrible pain and told us that nothing would work he did not recommend any medication. My mom can barely walk and he said there is nothing he could do. He said medication wont help, he said injections wouldnt help. He told my mom that she was morbidly obese and she needs surgery but no surgeon would touch her unless she lost weight and he would not manage her pain in the mean time while she is trying to lose weight. He didnt even make a suggestion. He told her to just tough it out and maintain a poor quality of life until she can get surgery. This guy treated us like we were drug addicts looking for drugs. Wont give her an anti-inflammatory, wont give her a mild pain pill like tramadol. I dont know what this guys problem was but he treated my poor mom like crap and had a bad attitude and forced us to walk out with no suggestion no referral no nothing. This guy is worthless, please dont go to him.

I was referred to Dr. Severson for diagnostic shots in my lower back. I have been dealing with pain for many years. Have tried all conventional methods and nothing has worked. I'm in horrible pain all the time and can't take pain meds because they gave me an ulcer. From the get go this Dr. was rude, dismissive and condescending. He disparaged chiropractic care. Said it was "crap". Told me I was an anxious person and shouldn't be in so much pain and should get mental help. UNBELIEVABLE!! He did n

Doctor Severson is just great. He took the time to really try to evaluate where pain was being generated and to work on a solution. I had a very difficult situation to resolve and he was determined to do all possible to help reduce pain. Great doctor and a very caring, nice man. Highly recommend.

It took a bit to get an appointment with the Dr initially. But, once a patient, response and follow up on calls is exceptional. The doctor went out of his way to work me in for an injection I needed badly. Office staff is thorough, respectful and kind. Dr is willing to listen and respond according to what you want to accomplish. Not a pill pusher, a problem solver. Highly recommend.

not a doctor! all he can do is push pills, leaves the impression that he is able to provide other treatments but is only licensed to preform one procedure in Idaho related to the spine. in looking at his abilities as a doctor it appears as he has 43 other fields he is trained in????? but i believe those are only related to pain medications. i was led to believe that he was licensed for much more then pushing pills.
