I have seen Dr Patnaude for over 20+ years. He has helped me find the right mix of meds that have helped me stabilize my depression. He has always been available for consultation should there be any reason to tweak the meds. It was a rough time finding the best treatment for me, but he helped me to decide what to try next. I would not have had as long a time without depression without the assistance of a skilled practitioner. I am very glad to have been referred to him by my previous Psychiatrist who was changing his practice. I have on numerous occasions recommended him to others.

I was referred to Dr. Patnaude by his colleague when I wanted to try an antidepressant. We spoke over the phone and he prescribed meds that way. I realize I was difficult because I know my body and I know how meds can affect me. I have a few I am unable to take. He was kind at first and worked with me, talking with me a few times by phone. However, after trying a second medicine for a month, I told him how poorly I felt physically and that I had difficulty even moving/walking. Dr. Patnaude chose to not hear me, he wanted me to try another medicine in addition to the one I was on. When I objected and told him I was scared he told me I was wasting his time. I don't understand how a skilled doctor can make a decision over the phone, not seeing the physical affects as described to him. I truly believe he used poor judgment to not at least try to meet me via zoom. He expected me to blindly trust him. For this reason, I cannot recommend him.

Dr. Patnaude is a skilled professional who listens and who cares. I walk into his office, I hand my stress over to him, and I leave it there. I appreciate how he shares what he's thinking, so I'm able follow his rationale and ask questions. I'm grateful for his help dealing with obstacles created by my insurance.
