Infection after surgery
He left my mother with a terrible infection after a routine surgery that led to a week stay in the hospital. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

8 or 9 years of care and counting.
I find some of these reviews are pointless. Every time I have called or been in the office the entire staff has been pleasant and professional. I find Dr Palmer to be outstanding, dedicated and caring. I also want to point out the negative review wasn't even signed.

Fine doctor in his specialties
Excellent. No problems for venous stasis dermatitis, performed by his employee, associates..... held-up well for couple years and now re-occurring is hardly their fault it appears, so I'll obviously be back there, as i am very confident there is no SUPERIOR doctor in his field in this small town....

Dr. Palmer is the best surgeon we have in Humboldt County. After a knee replacement surgery I developed a DVT. Within three hours of my visit to my orthopedic surgeon I was in Dr. Palmer’s office for a confirmed diagnosis. He started treatment immediately. Over the next three years I was treated for extensive vascular conditions. Since 2019 I have required three major surgeries. Dr. Palmer performed all three. He is so thorough and caring, I trust him with my life!!

The staff was wonderful, they talked me down from an anxiety attack like they were experts. One nurse I still have to put up for an award went out of her way and held my hand all the way to check in, I couldn't find anything in that town. The procedure I had was an artery stent and it went perfectly, executed proficiently by expert staff who helped me all the way as I couldn't take anesthetic. They talked me through it with compassion and concern, and Dr. Palmer is, without a doubt, a consummate professional with an exceptional bedside manner and top notch sense of humor. Too bad he doesn't ride bikes. They treated me like a king in recovery.

The guy is a pervert and habitually sexually harasses nurses and medical staff. The only reason he hasn't been sanctioned is because for years he was the only person who did vascular surgery in our small rural community.

Dr. Palmer took care of my mother. He was very busy yet he added her on the schedule whenever she needed him. He operated on her when nobody else would and he encouraged her and complimented her when she was recovering in the hospital and needed it. He made phonecalls to make sure other specialists would give her the appointments she needed. My mom loved him. She died, but he helped her to have a good last year. We were added on the office schedule and knew we would have to wait, we didn't mind.

My first impression of the office staff was also unfriendly, non caring and bordered on rude. Dr Palmer is excellent. Would go to him for any surgery.

Wonderful surgeon, horrible office staff. The office staff is incredibly rude, gives false information then denies it, and makes the overall trip a nightmare. I wish I could rate the office staff (especially Kristy, the front desk receptionist) as less than 1 star.

Dr. Palmer is a compassionate, knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. I feel very lucky to have been referred to him. He quickly identified my medical issues and made arrangements immediately to correct them. I was very impressed when I overheard the surgery nurses discussing him just prior to my first operation. They had the utmost respect for his surgical talents and even expressed that they would request his services if/when they needed a vascular surgeon.
