Dr. Michael McGhee, MD

Dr McGhee is very professional and caring. He takes the time to listen to his patients and does not rush them through.

Dr McGhee is the only effective psychiatric help I could find in Clarksville. The low ratings you see here are due to him not being the type of Dr who allows his patients to take control and tell him what drugs they want. He’s straight forward and believes in making you hold yourself accountable. I’d suggest him to anyone and everyone, but don’t go to him if you expect to be coddled and babied.

Mcgee is the worst doctor I've ever encountered. Someone who is completely incompetent being allowed to practice medicine is frightening.

His preparedness. He has a free spirit that identifies spiritual battles and treatment for a stronger mental health . A motivational genius

Psychiatrist are in short supply in Clarksville but please exhaust all options before considering Dr. McGhee. He’s the most unprofessional Dr. I’ve every visited and lacks all compassion. I was fortunate in that a Dr. in Atlanta had given me a prescription that works for me but after one visit he asked if I needed anything else and I described an issue I was having and his response was “what do you want me to do about that”. He often has students shadowing him and I explained to one to keep in mind she is learning how to not be a good Dr.

If you're looking for a place to be treated badly, disrespected, degraded, then this is the office you've been looking for! Telehealth appointments? Oh my goodness what a joke. Be very aware as well that you may see Dr. McGhee the first few times, but you could be made to see someone else. Someone who sickens me so much, he's not worthy of comment. Just be very aware.

He didn't listen to a word I said. He kept interrupting me and asking questions that could've been answered by looking in my folder. He told my mother to be quiet even though she was legally obligated to be there. He infuses religion into his practice when it's unneeded and unethical. You can believe what you want, but religion has no place in secular medicine. He put me down for my autism symptoms. His response to me talking about how I cope with my neurodivergence was to say I should stop acting ND instead of properly coping with it. He humiliated me over my weight. I wasn't there to be weighed, but he made me do so. His comments went beyond recommendations and were outright insults ("No woman wants to be fat," says a man who is equally fat). He even threatened to withhold my meds if I didn't lose weight. I switched psychiatrists, and my current one said that numerous patients of hers suffered similar psychiatric abuse and ridicule from him. Would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr McGhee is a great dr one of the best dr I have been to he is patient he is caring . Dr McGhee listen to all my concerns he help me deal with a lot of mental issues I had he is not a dr that just into pushing medication , he will give you the right medication and all so advice how to try calm down . And always look at the brighter side of life , and I’m a Christian so I know there is power in prays . He the best and he is not money hunger he will work with you 5. Stars

I see Jasmine and I am very pleased with her. Although I do wish it were easier to get a hold of her when needing refills etc. She is always pleasant and understanding and I will not go anywhere else for My psychiatric needs.

I have known this doctor for several years. He previously worked at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. He is a great listener, is compassionate and totally honest.
