My spouse had an appointment regarding extreme lower back pain and numbness in legs. They were told to arrive prior for imaging. The imaging did not occur. They saw a PA and the PA only advised on physical therapy or a chiropractor. The PA stated no imaging was requested prior to the appointment even though the staff said to arrive early for imaging. How can someone see a PT or chiropractor without proper imaging to avoid further injury. The PA stated your insurance most likely won’t cover any shots until seeing a pt was done first. The pt would only provide ice or heat therapy..??? Which can be done at home. Dr. Landis office has no concern of patients health and only cares about insurance needs. There was no pain management recommendation nor alternative option provided to address the underlying issue of the lower back pain and leg numbness. After reading the reviews now and seeing the low rating, I can vouch that if you need medical assistance by a spine specialist this doctor is NO

Beware!!!
On April 11, 2020, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. We had plans for a 10-day vacation in Hawaii as a celebration. Unfortunately, travel restrictions due to COVID pandemic prevented us from traveling. We decided to reschedule our trip for January 2023. We were told by Dr Landi that my wife would need three months to recuperate from her back surgery which was scheduled for September 2022. We went ahead and booked our trip to Hawaii since it would be almost 4 months after the back surgery. On September 19, 2022, Dr Michael Landi performed an Anterior lumbar interbody fusion with anterior instrumentation at L5-S1 and on September 26, 2022, Dr Michael Landi performed a Posterior instrumentation on my wife. She was to spend 1 night in the hospital and return home on September 27, 2022. On the morning of September 27, 2022, while getting out of bed at Kenmore Mercy Hospital Sharon experienced weakness and severe pain in her left leg. It was decided not to release my wife. Tests w

Exceptional Care
Dr Landi took exceptional care of me. He offered adequate pain management while I was having appropriate testing to identify the specific nerve causing my pain. I was diagnosed and had surgery in just a matter of a few weeks. My pain was immediately resolved, There was no further need for pain meds, and I am back to living life. He really understood how the nerve pain was so incapacitating. He never rushed and was very decisive. I knew I was in the best hands and had made the right decision to have Dr Landi manage my issue. He is kind, calm, and skilled. He would be my first and only choice if I had to do it all over again!

Dr.Landi is the smartest guy I’ve met. He’s very conservative and will not recommend a high dollar surgery looking for money like many neurosurgeons in the area. Years ago I saw a variety of surgeons for opinions on my back, they all recommended very invasive surgeries that were not necessary. When I saw Dr.Landi for my final opinion he recommended a very non invasive small surgery and had success. I trust him that he’s always looking out for the patients benefits and not bringing in money by doing unnecessary operations

Dr Landi performed neck surgery on me, back surgery on my wife, brain surgery on my daughter, back surgery 2x on my other daughter due to a congenital disorder, back surgeries on three other close relatives, and my business partner and we all give him 5 stars for care, compassion and surgical skill, period. What most people need to accept and understand, is that patients’ compliance with his post-surgical restrictions and instructions are CRITICAL to your outcome and success of your surgery. I’m not an MD, but we all followed his pairs surgery advice to the letter and could not speak more highly of his care and skill. I suggest that those who write negative reviews need to examine their own behavior, including smoking, before bashing any medical professional. When hospital nurses recommend a surgeon, you know he’s good.

I was A patient of Invision Health. I came in carrying the injuries from a motorcycle accident 45 years ago. The last side of my body was crushed plus other things. I had been prescribed opiates higher than the legislation prescribed. This was confirmed by two different doctors and administered by a third. I go to Invision Health to carry-on my prescription. I am told that they do not Such a high dose. So I go a month without my normal dosage and have to rely on 25% less. My next visit I tell the doctor I’m losing my ability to make my own food make a cuppa coffee and I’m told that if he goes out of the allotted That is mandated he will have the DEA looking at him. So the kowtow to the law and do not treat me as a patient. And to me that is not what the doctor does so Dr. Landi I think your decisions are ludicrous for you to be a doctor I would like to use a more coarse language to describe the feelings I have towards your alternate behavior What a doctor should be doing.

I went to see Dr. Landi for pain that was radiating down my leg. I had an MRI and it showed that I had pinched nerves (one being the sciatic nerve). He suggested that I have a spinal fusion with instrumentation at L5-S1. He used a cadaver disk. It is now almost four months post-op and I still can't walk and still have pain. I do physical therapy three times a week. Had I known that this was going to be the outcome, I would have gone to an Orthopedic Surgeon who puts in cages and screws. The recovery is much shorter. As for Dr. Landi, he saw me for the initial appointment and I NEVER saw him after that! Follow up appts were scheduled with his PA, Monica. I am NOT pleased with the outcome and wouldn't recommend anyone having a spinal fusion. I was told that it would take 3 months to heal. That was not true. Back surgery takes 6-8 months to heal. I am very upset that I was lied to. I would not recommend Dr. Landi.

Had a cervical disc fusion. The major pain is gone in my right arm, chest and neck but my hand is still numb and feels like my foot being asleep. It's been 5 years since my surgery and both hands now get numb. Dr Landi was nice but I only saw him twice, once before the surgery and the day of the surgery.

Nothing but problems at Envision Brain and Spine. You are only a number. Phone calls not returned. Staff is not only uncaring by RUDE. Dr. Landi runs this place but he doesn't seem to care when you complain.

I had a microdiscectomy 5 years ago from Dr Landi. I suffered from severe back pain for several years and saw 3-4 doctors prior to hearing about Dr Landi. I was under his care for 3 years prior to surgery. He is very conservative and only operated because it was absolutely necessary - I lost the feeling in my right leg. He's an excellent surgeon with great compassion for his patients. His staff/PAs are also excellent. He gave me a brand new back & I still enjoy being as active as I've ever been.
