Saw him for ear wax impaction with tinnitus and he tried to tell me it was TMJ. I went to another ENT who suctioned the wax out in 5 minutes. Stay away. Doesn't know what he's doing.

Excellent ENT and Surgeon (adult tonsillectomy)
Dr Jakobsen has been my ENT for over 10 years. He always takes his time with his patients and provides the top level of care. I recently had to get an adult tonsillectomy at age 43. Even though i was a tough case for several reasons, Dr. Jakobsen did an excellent job and got me a great result! Additionally, I temporarily lost my hearing in a freediving accident in 2022 and Dr. Jakobsen acted FAST to get me a hearing test, on steroids, and SAVED MY HEARING!!!! Dr. Jakobsen is the kind of doctor I would (and have) recommend to the whole family!

Spent less than 10 minutes with us for $250 , casually dismissed our concerns and we wound up in ER 2 days later - made a rude comment about being a smoker - NOT the level of specialty care or professionalism you expect for $250 - we have no insurance and paid for this out of pocket - very disappointing- feel ripped off for sure

I have tinnitus & went to the doctor looking for help. He didn't wear his mask while examing me! I had to remove mine for exam. Pretty bad for health care professional to not care enough about my safety. The rest of the office wore ppe, but not the doctor! During covid19. Made me very uncomfortable & now i am concerned abot me & my family's health.

I have been seeing Dr. Jakobsen for about 15 years now, he is a wonderful doctor and I had nose surgery with him and I could not ask for better results.

I had a throat surgery performed by another doctor. When I called the office after surgery at night, they put Dr. Jakobsen on the phone as the doctor on call. I told him that I can't breath through my nose, and asked him what I could do without hurting my throat, he told me that I should use this line for only life threatening emergency calls and hung up the phone on my face. This was not an emergency, and I didn't call 911. The operator on the phone was as much shocked and frustrated as I was.
